I can understand that, wouldn't have him as a striker though!

To be honest with you, mate. I think the few games he had for you when breaking through, might have been a flash in the pan. He has shown absolutely nothing for us, so far. I used to rate the lad, and thought he was your next star breaking through.

He's like Adam Johnson, but without the grooming. A luxury player who can turn it on, but doing so once in a blue moon, is no good to a club like Sunderland.

I forgot about Khazri! Ouch, the ACON is going to cripple our already thread bare squad!

The talent's there mate it's his application letting him down. Hopefully he'll sort his head out and knuckle down. Otherwise he'll be on the scrap heap with Macheda.

I think he's shown enough so far that he'll be good for us over the course of the season, personally.

We've got to remember he's barely kicked a ball for 2 or 3 years. This is his first real taste of first team football as well.

It was Moyes who gave him the chance at Man Utd when he broke through so I'm hopeful he'll play a big part in our season.

I would say it's more the attitude that's letting him down. He just seems such a miserable soul.
I can't remember ever seeing him smile, it's almost like he doesn't like playing football but has to do it to make a living. He has all the talent of a top player but none of the drive or energy.

He thought he was gonna have the world at his feet on a plate and now he is facing the stark reality that even with his best efforts it probably won't happen. Let's hope something gets him to wake up.

I think Januzaj has been decent bar his appalling delivery from dead balls.

He's scored a goal and he's beaten his man countless times since he arrived.

I will say, he absolutely isn't the player he looked when he came through, nor is he ever going to be, but he's half decent.

What happened to Gyan in the end?

I take it his dream of playing in England once again never happened.

According to reports in America, Palace and Sunderland both made late bids to sign the 31-year-old USA international, while fellow Premier League sides Hull City and AFC Bournemouth were also said to be interested.

    ****e source i know.

West Bromwich Albion could face competition in the race to sign midfielder Momo Sissoko with Hull City and Sunderland reportedly interested in the former Liverpool man.

Sissoko is without a club since departing Shanghai Shenua earlier this year and is hopeful of earning a deal in the Premier League.

He is currently on trial with Albion in an attempt to win a contract at the Hawthorns and impressed during Saturday's 1-0 friendly win over Delhi Dynamos.

However, Hull and Sunderland are now considering approaches for the 31-year-old Malian international, according to MailOnline.

I think on the keeper situation moyes is going to leave it and if Pickford gets injured then go for an emergency loan.

Sad state of affairs if we're still shopping in the free transfer market after the window has shut.

Youngster Jordan Pickford stepped in against Southampton but with the Italian expected to be out of action for around three months, the North East club seemingly pursued a shot-stopper on summer Deadline Day - albeit without managing to sign one.

Indeed, Carrasso has revealed he was contacted by the Stadium of Light outfit but turned down a potential transfer.

When asked by Telefoot if he was approached by Sunderland, the 34-year-old replied: "Yes, at the last second. But it was not the time. I have returned from injury and there are other things to do."

Carrasso, who had a brief loan spell in England with Crystal Palace during the 2001/02 season, is an experienced goalkeeper with well over 200 appearances for Bordeaux under his belt.

The veteran goalie has also represented France, with his one cap coming against Poland in a 2011 friendly, and was included in Les Bleus' 2010 World Cup squad.
