I always assumed Lineker was taller than that? Wikipedia has 5' 9.5. I thought he was around 6'0

There's a few reports going around that the only reason Moronho wouldn't let Schneiderlin go wasn't because he didn't want to sell to a rival, but because he's going to be dropping pretty much everyone else for the Europa League games so Schneiderlin will be playing in that tournament by default.

I'm sure that'll serve only to encourage and motivate him...

I'm always grateful to Arsenal for introducing me to players I've never heard of. Even better this season - they're not all French

Schneiderlin was the 2nd best defensive midfielder (behind Matic) two seasons ago. I'm sure Mourinho sees him as a big part of his squad.

Yet he's been seen as second choice behind Fellaini so far this season, and it;s hard to fathom what Moronho sees in Fellaini...

Looks like the guy wrote this article after reading through our thread on the subject <laugh>

There was a similar article on SSN the other day which I was taking seriously until the clown made the schoolboy error of citing our '6-1' defeat at St James Park last season. But the basic thrust of it was: Sissoko's performances improved drastically after Benitez took over and he finally had a manager who knows what he is doing. He strikes me a Yaya Toure style high maintenance - the type who would kick up a fuss if the club didn't buy him a birthday cake. But if managed and coached properly, he could well be a tremendous asset to the squad.

Yeah, I though the subject might have been already covered. What interested me was his point about MP's ability to identify true talent and bring it to its potential. They cited Dembele as a prime example.

Hope he's got it right about Sissoko!...

Some blurb over the weekend claiming Sissoko had no interest in going to Everton.
If true, that would give some credence to the 5 x 6m pa payment plan that Levy allegedly
agreed with Cashley (no bidding war on the initial payment T+Cs etc) .
