Sissoko? What do we do?

Discussion in 'Newcastle United' started by LiamO, Aug 31, 2016.

  1. Plenty of Spurs fans, too, my friend!

In fact, I'm one of the few Yids who is optimistic about this deal.

But did he do ok at the euros. How many goals did he score= none how many assists did he have= none.......

  3. But what he did do is give France a bruising presence that enabled their creative players the opportunity to dominate play.

That's probably the reason why Poch was keen to get him.

He also gave the ball away in dangerous areas when France where flooding players forward and therefore exposed. He is over rated. A powerhouse who has an attitude problem. I'm going to predict he will do ok for the first half of the season and then be a bench warmer.

Evening Standard, desperately upset that Spurs may have payed over the odds for Sissoko, are suggesting that Spurs only have to pay one £6million installment per season as long as Sissoko is still their player. The suggestion is that if Spurs were, for example, to sell Sissoko at the start of the next summer transfer window, NUFC would only ever see the first installment of £6million. Yeah, sounds like a deal MA would go for...

He will have a great debut and then go back to his usual self playing one or two good games a season.

Good luck to the spuds though, if Poch can get him playing he will be useful but probably nothing more.

One of my spuds mates just tried this on with me as well. Like **** would that have been agreed and regardless, he's signed on for five years, probably on some cushty wages as well so can't see him leaving in a hurry.

You've got to hand it to Levy! He knows how to do business!

And to think that there were some Everton fans who genuinely believed that Levy had been stitched up! Levy does the stitching, lads!

Save for the fact he has to convince some other dupe, Levy having been the first one, to take over the payments for the waste of space as we will still get the full £30M regardless.

    :)

You'd be daft to believe Mike Ashley would sell a player "worth" £30m on the basis that the buying club could sell him 6 months later for whatever they liked and NUFC would only end up getting £6m for him. The journo must be on crack. I would wager that if the deal is based on 5 x £6m installments then the balance of £30m would be due if the player is sold on before the 5 installments have been paid. I had thought that the 5 installments deal was actually Everton's offer anyway and Spurs had paid the lot up front.

£30m is £30m whether it's in five installments or one big fat cheque.
Very few clubs pay full fees upfront in any case.

Everton originally agreed the deal that the Spuds took over.
Levy initiated **** all on the fee arrangement.

What Spurs haven't figured out yet is that the deal is covered by our Wonga sponsorship.
By paying over time via instalments, they will actually pay us a total of £6,879,554,368.21

So we are all happy then - sounds like the perfect deal. I wish him well and hope he does the business for you. To me his weaknesses relate to a lack of footballing intelligence. He is great with the ball at his feet but doesnt time the release well and his passing is poor. You might be able to improve his technical skills - however dont expect him to suddenly become an intelligent tactically-astute midfielder.,

Think we got £25-£30M more than they are worth, which is always nice. And it felt good to bend to bend you over a barrel again, ala Carroll, and to finally give Levy a proper humping( think the whole of the Premier League was cheering us on). Happy Days.

Lmao Sissoko apparantly turend off his phone Koeman couldn't call him. Wow, just shows what kinda character he is. Everton dodged a major bullet with this one. We bought this guy for 2 mio and he's a 1 goal a season player. Remember, Few years ago 30 mio was a record transfer for Berbatov who scored 28 in one season and Robinho who even though a bit dodgy, no less was a world class player on his day.

This rumour with Sissoko's fee is bollocks. It sounds to me like people down there are trying to put a spin on what they realise is a terrible transfer. Sissoko is dogshit. Spurs are completely mental paying £30 million for him regardless of whether it is in instalments or not.
