7.4%!!!! Just make sure you get a couple of barrels of Guinness in when we all turn up Horden! Sorry mate but I'll be giving your stout a miss at 7.4%!! Those days of drinking anything that strong in a pint glass are long gone
This is true. But people post on the daft ****e threads rather than just read, or having to put much thought into it. It is a forum after all, forums are meant to be about interaction. People choose to interact more so on the non descript threads. Just look at the first page off threads and the amount of replies to each one for proof. Unless its a major story, most get very little response.
Yes I've noticed Seriously, around three quarters threads on the front page about football, mostly regarding SAFC. It's also generally true that there's a wider variety of people participating in the football threads. I know the 'zany banter threads' sometimes get lots of responses but quite often one line throwaway comments from the same few people backwards & forwards. There's nowt wrong with that if they're on threads people, who aren't interested, can ignore but when they disrupt football threads, for no good reason, it stops people posting because they think they're wasting their time. That's one of the main reasons I often can't be bothered and I've seen various other people say the same thing.
I love it on here. I log on daily, especially if I'm at work, and it usually makes me laugh. However, I have no expectations. I don't come on here and expect to be entertained. It just happens. I will never get offended by anyone on an Internet forum and nothing much bothers me. Would love to meet up with anyone at a match but trips are few and far between.
Originally read the site a lot to keep up with the club because living in Oxfordshire at the time didn't get daily news and updates. My thanks to all for posting and keeping me up to date. Now love to see the banter, the football opinions and the humour from all sorts of topics. Would like to see the one on one fighting less, usually stop looking at the thread when this starts, but often it signals the end of the original topic anyway. I have to say I have learnt stuff here ( and found my opinion changed because of the things others know and have experience of). There really is some broad and intelligent knowledge posted at times and I love the debates. Cheers everyone - may it long continue
@Blunham Mackem @grandpops @marcusblackcat Out of interest, which one of you deleted Rackem's latest thread? It's funny, the threads where he can't control himself and ends up losing his head seem to keep disappearing. Him and his silly little boyfriend. It's no wonder the same few folk keep getting pinned for disrupting the board when evidence of others doing it keeps ending up under the rug. I'd have ****ing stickied that if I was a mod.
I have kept out of this, until now. This is a ****ing joke. He's spewing ****e about wanting people to die and all other insults, but the mods are quietly removing it and staying quiet while posters keep referring to us spoiling threads, with our 'pursuit of Rackem' Bang out of order, by the mods.
Exactly. I'm sure I'll get the 'both as bad as each other' response as expected, because laughing at somebody's crap bet is the same as asking somebody to die.
Good grief man. There`s enough trouble with those bloody things as it is. Don`t know who deleted it but honestly can`t disagree that it should. Not apportioning blame but threads which are nothing but abuse hurling deserve to be binned whoever it is. They serve no useful purpose imo and merely discourage other posters. Anyone reading stuff like that just won`t bother. Rackem may post his prediction thread later today. Bated breath to see what happens with that one.
I must admit that I totally missed that thread. I agree there should be no place on here for those type of comments though..
You know exactly what's going to happen with that one Pops. Maybe if he didn't start 'hurling abuse' he wouldn't have to delete so many of his own threads ey.
It deeply affected me RAW, I'm having counselling to stop me putting my head in my dishwasher (the oven gets too hot).
Tend to be mag lovers or wannabe mods. He's in no way generalising, or saying it's all Newcastle supporters. Just on this forum that's who he tends to argue with, but not just mags, also people that think they have power on here (mod wannabes) The only people I tend to always have beef on here, is with the Hull supporters. Nothing against the club, just the way it is for me on here.
I'm going to up the ante, tbh. I'm going to be ****ing brutal with him. If he's allowed to wish us dead and all of his other insults, then I'm assuming there's no rules to be adhered to
