Perhaps people who criticise our transfer policy should read this article. Also if we increase the stadium capacity and get more people in we will increase our in stadium and off stadium income which is a necessity to be more active in the transfer market. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...cardiff-city-swansea-citys-financial-11826067
Strange how Bournemouth managed to do it, with only a stadium size of 13000. Lets also not forget we got rid of our 2 highest wage earners and possible 3 with Ash plus Tabanou and Emnes I am sure some others have been taken of the wage bill as well. I don't go with this completely , there is some credence in it in that we cant go mad, but i would guarantee our wage bill has gone down from last season. So for me there was room to bring more players in, the reason is they don't want to spend the money.
According to Hj we made a significant loss last season. How did we manage that without spending anything. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/art...utm_campaign=SocialSignIn&utm_source=Facebook
Fully agree. Lose the next 6 games, which is more than possible and I see it getting very ugly and bitter down the Liberty.
4 highest - Ash, Jonjo Ayew and Gomis. Could argue that signing Palo for £8m would have given him a hefty wage too.
He was piss poor in the championship for QPR. They couldn't wait to get rid of the useless lump and imo that's exactly what he is, bang average and useless.
What's the point expanding the stadium to play in the championship? There'll be at least 10,000 empty seats every week.
Paying off previous managers (loose term for our last one ) his mistake but I wonder if he took a reduction from his recent windfall to counteract the shortfall
We've had a pay an increase to Gylfi probably taken over Llorente's wages and had to make a high wages payment to Baston. I am not looking at the championship but staying in the PL and I am sure this is why the new owners want to increase the stadium capacity because they know and I believe have hinted at this that we need to increase our revenue and commercial and marketing strength because this will enable us to compete in the fair play market.
The losses were made under Monk, when Huw Jenkins over spent on transfers (Tab/Gomis etc) to secure a golden season for his lover boy Monk, but it all went pair shaped and we then had to fork out again that season when sacking Monk, but it has been balanced out this season some what, by the transfer out of the garbage Huw brought in under Monk. I hope Huw Jenkins performace bonuses take a hit, for his ineptness.................
Could be a number of reasons including if they paid Ayew a signing on fee, even if the cash payment was spread over the life of his contract, it is possible that the full amount was charged to the P&L account.
