A masterstroke by our erstwhile manager - WHY play with width when there's no one in the middle if the wide players can get their crosses in??? <doh>

Just found this in the Telegraph, though it doesn't specify which leagues can do this.

"Players out of contract or unattached to any clubs can be recruited outside the transfer window."
    Full article here.

It would be pretty stupid training with us a day after the window shuts otherwise.

    Gulp!
"...prior to three years at Palace, where he scored seven goals in 59 appearances."
Holy Cow, that almost makes Adam Drury look prolific!! <laugh>

If Chamakh was thought of as a serious option before 23:01 yesterday, we'd have let Lafferty go...

Not sure on Chamakh, but we are totally desperate.

Just seen Dexter Blackstock has had his contract terminated by mutual consent from Forest.......................We need another Barrel.

We did play with a 4-1-4-1 against Brum, Cromer and had Jerome been fit it could have worked. Sadly, it didn't. Marouane Chamakh would give us other options as a striker and as an impact sub. His strength is in link-up play, but he's also an excellent header of the ball if we're chasing a game. Also, unlike McCormack and Rhodes, he wouldn't create problems in the dressing room. For a sign on fee and his wages, he could provide a useful option.

The key lies in the puctuation of the line-up DD! ;)

As i could only listen to the match, I also followed it on Whoscored and their man at the match had it as 4-1-4-1 as well. <cheers>

    Championship Alert ‏@EFLChampAlert
Norwich City are set to announced the signing of free agent Marouane Chamakh. #ncfc

Seven (7) goals in 59 appearances for Palace! :emoticon-0112-wonde
Any hint of an inept board trying to wriggle off that hook they've impaled themselves on?

Canee wee bit a business , I'm guessing he's homeless and we offered him free board and lodging at the Chipp Inn and a fish supper if he scores .

Once prospective players find out about the Chipp Inn, they'll be fighting to come here. I'm told James Maddison's first question at Aberdeen was how are the Chippys up here. I can vouch for them from personal experience!
