Viera signed a new 3 year contract too so, fair play to the big MC & Credit where it is due - much better then the usual 1 year extension
All things considered what else did you expect? Yes another CB would have been nice but we might as well play with 10 men than Bamba. Cooper, Bartley, Pontus or Bamba, Bellusci, Cooper? We only had three last season. We also have Berardi, Denton, Coyle, Taylor, Ayling. Taylor wants to leave, so what, does it make a difference? Lots of players are refused requests, Taylor now needs to put himself in the shop window. If Taylor under performs drop him, either way last day of the season isn't the time to reinvest and rush spend what we would have got for him, we might have sold him and failed in an attempt to bring in someone new. I did say Green needs dropping but that is down to Monk not Cellino. I want Cellino out, he is bad for our club but knocking him when there are little grounds to do so just makes people ignore you even if you later make a valid point. This is by far the best start to a season by any owner in the last 10 years and by that I mean funds and wages pumped into the squad. £20k a week for Bridcutt, £3m fee for Roofe I'm not claiming either is worth it but Monk thought so and Cellino backed him. If tomorrow Cellino screws it all up in a mad moment I will be over him like a nasty rash
Dave can also play centre back, did so against Charlton near the end and Sol went up front,in fact both looked better in those positions.
I honestly don't know. Bamba came with a good reputation apart from he liked to think he could play like Pele and was too laid back as a result. Some thought Bellusci was good, and I thought Sam was better than he has so far proved to be (Taylor may be going in the same grouping).
You telling me he you seriously thought he would be a final piece on the jigsaw to make the playoffs at the start of yesterday?
But he hasn't has he,just saying that in your world where everyone's going to break their legs in a mass leg break,he could be called on.
I'm saying our biggest problem was none of the 2 kids being swapped around in midfield were good enough and Monk thinks this one is ,so happy for now.
So could you and me. But I think the ideas supposed to be get a bunch of players of sufficient quality and play them in a way that you score more goals than the opposition and thus gain enough points to clime the table. The league table will show who has this right when we get far enough into the season ATM I cant see us above 16th.
As I said yesterday I know nothing about him but he isn't the marque premiership signing that was been talked of last week. Hope it works out and he repays your faith.
By who you ? I've never seen anything other than trying to sign a prem midfielder, and that's what he is.Is it your fault or Monks that you thought it was going to be some star player that always wanted to play in the championship.
Actually, he has played 10 times more minutes in League 2 than The Prem so you could argue that that's his real level
Vardy's played more time in none league than for England, but only a fool and maybe you would think that's his level.
I can't prove it, but I still have a gut feeling that Cellino is still sticking his nose into team affairs and into recruiting new players.
Vardy. Non league minutes 2,700 Premiership minutes 5,679 Good one Chesh Which is why Vardy isn't dropping down a level
