Well that's the transfers out of the way for a couple of months at least. The big question for me now is can Mike (I'm assuming it will be him for now!) blend the new players into the squad and maintain the super strong togetherness and spirit the team seem to have started the season with. Lets maul those clarets and show the doubters we mean business this season.
It will be interesting to observe now he actually has to do some 'managing' as well as simply coaching. The team has picked itself up until now, whereas he has some decisions to make going forward. I would suggest it's almost impossible for him to drop anybody for the game at Burnley and he should simply put the new recruits onto the bench. For me in his pre game speech he should say to the XI "you've got the shirts, the club has just spent nearly £20m to help you out, now its up to you to keep hold of the shirts. Go out there and do it".
I think he's been doing a brilliant job managing the side so far, his formation and tactics have been second to none and it will be fascinating to see how he incorporates the new players into his planning.
Record signing Mason will start, I think making Meyler a backup for now. Henriksen is challenging Huddlestone? The loan signing striker is challenging Diomande I assume. The two United signings are probably for the future and cup matches for now, unless circumstance puts them in the team.
But no doubt some Negative Creep will Scoff. There's just Something In The Way that these types put everyone on a Downer. They're so Dumb, and they ****ing Milk It. What worries Polly is the fact that they will Breed. In my opinion, they should Stay Away.
Can't see those Allams being All Apologies before they clear off, really Dumb aren't they, people like that shouldn't Breed
I honestly believe we are seeing the start of something good here, Phelan looks like he's putting together a team, new owners next , the mood around the club is changing for the better.at last it feels like were coming out of the darkness.
Would we have managed to get the two lads form Manure if Pheeeelingood hadn't been here.. I doubt it and based on his knowledge maybe he's cherry picked what he could. Would be interesting when we are winning 3-0 with 10 to go at Burnley if he let Keane get on and face up to his twin brother. Cannot wait for the Burnley game now..
