Next window can we not have any transfer speculation threads. It only makes believers and apologists look stupid and causes massive disappointment for them and hilarity for realists when you read back and realise what we could and should have done.
This one post will probably cause enough I'm right, no you're not etc to save Matt the need for a breakfast thread
Won't be much of a debate though. Apologist : that was a great window and we have improved our poor and midfield heavy squad. Realist: Why, who did we sign and how is it an improvement. Apologist: er, er, um we signed another paddy that couldn't get a game and he will turn into a world beater. Realist.:
We didnt manage to offload any of those we wanted shot of, even I didn't factor in the level of cellinos ineptitude. You happy that we have kept him, despite him wanting away? Not a risk worth taking IMO.
Meanwhile he doesn't play 100% as he knows he goes in January, and doesn't buy into what monk is trying to build as he wont be here to see how it turns out.
Here's my opinion, not that you asked, I'm as disappointed as you are Glory regarding the ins and outs in this transfer window(or lack of them,). Like Eire I wasn't surprised by another damp squid of a day. I was hoping Taylor would have been sold, maybe he'll go in Jan or maybe he'll go next summer and we'll have to wait on an Independent tribunal who may decide on a lower valuation of the player. Disappointed that we didn't get rid of some of the deadwood, also annoyed we didn't get more players in. I will give this new lad a chance though. What's the answer, I don't know. I'm at the stage that I hope for some Multi million takeover, but I won't hold my breath...
