I would if we win a cup ;)

No I don't see us going down just think it's a shame as this Summer is probably the highest our stocks been in our lifetime.

Also if we go out with a whimper in Europe due to not strengthening the squad enough then it just seems like a wasted opportunity which who knows when it will come round again?

    I should say I'm happy with the players we've brought in;

Redmond - Young, English & talented, right up our street with the way develop players.

Hojgberg - 21yo midfielder fom Bayern, looks very classy already and will only improve as he gets used to the league.

Boufal - Exciting young player in a similar vein to Mahrez and was highly coveted so bit of a coup for us.

So like I say I think yhe signings we've made are good ones (also bacl up gk&rb) just not the numbers, was hoping we'd have a positive net spend this year and really try to bulk up the squad a bit.

You've done some good business Fosse. Only losing 1 a bit of a result too. Fair play to your board for going for it while you've got the chance too.

Big Sam and the FA ****ing around didn't help. Ellis Short being tight really hurt us.

    Bad year ahead.

Here's one that slipped under the radar.
Jack Wilshere fell out of the transfer window and is subsequently out for 6 months, deal off! <laugh>

Spurs sign a big strong player who can run fast, football ability seems to be somewhere lower down on the tick list. He'll have a good start but is a poor player and that will show over the season.

I'd have to disagree, luv. Whilst his form for Newcastle may have been erratic, his performances for France at Euro 16 were outstanding.

France are currently one of the best sides anywhere in int'l football, having reached the Euro 16 final. And he was a regular member of that side.

Consistency seems to be his problem, not ability. He showed what he's capable of in the summer, our manager and training staff's job is to get him to produce that on a regular basis.,

Hmm, I can see a correlation between playing well in a very good French team and playing **** week in week out at Newcastle, can you?

We know he has consistency, and possibly attitude problems. What is not in doubt, for me, is his ability.

Pochettino, has gotten far more right than wrong since being our manager and he obviously thinks he can get the best from him.

As fans, we have to trust his judgement.

8 out of 10 for us.

Positives, keeping Vardy, Mahrez and new contracts for others linked away. Musa looks a great signing, Mendy hopefully will settle in when back from injury and Slimani looks quality. Frightening attack

Negatives, lost Kante and seem a man short in midfield still. Another defender wouldn't have gone amiss either

@NowsufferinginSpain I want impressed with him for France, there's no brain. He runs directly at the opposition but there's no final ball or finish, he's a big strong runner. Perhaps he will improve but I for one doubt it. I expect a big impact at the start and then a rapid decline and plenty of bench, you already have better players.

Sissoko is ridiculously overpriced at £30m imo. Lazy twat with an attitude, done alright for France but that was only cos he didn't wanna stay with the Toon in the championship. He's another Adebayor imo. Expect a quick start followed by months of mediocrity.

Bullet dodged for Everton me thinks.

He's part of a squad, no doubt. With the CL to contend with, on top of all the football PL clubs already have to play, I'm sure there will be plenty of rotation. He won't start every game.

I also think he has more about him than just running. He's capable of operating as either an attacking or defensive midfielder.

In any case, if running at the opposition and creating panic, as he did several times at Euro 16, works, why not? He's a big, very strong fella, and like Yaya Toure, likes to use that to scatter the opposition.
