Saw this on twitter, anyone know anymore about it? Interesting news, City have revised the away kit...
If they've got rid of the black patch i'll be chuffed. Ruins an otherwise nice kit (probably asking too much to get rid of the sponsor all together)
Amber nectar have heard this too: http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/201...-criticism-changes-away-kit-sponsor-applique/
It seems the emails to the club were not in vein after all, it was ridiculous to have the black box, completely unnecessary, the text only will look way better. Common sense prevails, well done City. I assume this is the reason the away kit release was delayed.
Brilliant, the home kit is boring so I quite fancy the away one this year, and the patch did spoil it a bit.
Oooh they actually do read their emails :O I dont care what anyone else says i'm taking credit for this happening
i understand what you mean as its cash converters but you are supporting the club not the sponsor i for one will be wearing my kits proudly once they get to me!!
No idea. But more to the point when will City need to wear the away kit ? Ipswich = No. Leeds = ?. Peterboro = No. Bristol City = No. Doncaster = No. In fact the only team that Citys home kit comes close to clashing with is Blackpool and we dont go there until 3rd March. SO WHEN WILL CITY USE IT ? any idea or clues folks ???
I'll be getting a tracksuit top, training top, and a few t-shirts throughout the season. These coupled with my season ticket should be sufficient financial support this season - unless those big money balls come in Friday night.
It might not be necessary other than against Blackpool but we tend to wear it on away days regardless.
You need to take the colour of the shorts and socks into account mate, if our away top doesn't clash with a team that's shorts are black, the ref will insist we use our away kit to make their job easier (given most of the action a ref has to look for ie fouls etc take place below the waist). It all makes sense, plus the team will opt to use the away kit at least a certain number of times to not deem it a waste of money EDIT: It'll be interesting when we go to Blackpool as their shorts are white, we'll probably do the away kit with black shorts.
