The only one true Willy Wonka. Genuinely talented and funny guy. They sure as **** don't make them like him anymore. RIP Gene.
There's a long list of wonderful films & characters he brought to life & made believable. An acting genius. RIP
Gutted about this. Gene Wilder was my favourite film comedy actor. I studied some the work of director Mel Brooks as an undergraduate and completely fell in love with the films starring Gene Wilder. Young Frankenstein DVD is about to start...RIP Willy Wonka

Saw that on Twitter - She was a really talented all round sports person. Tragic, can't imagine anything worse as a parent. RIP
Very sad indeed. People are bothered about who we will sign and then something like this happens. Certainly puts things into perspective.
Sad news, Ron's sat behind me at the KC for many years... Ron Black It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the passing of Ron Black. Ron had spent some time recently in hospital and died peacefully at home on Saturday evening 27th August. Ron was a “mountain” of a man, a great friend to many people in Hull who will remember him for his generosity and his work for charity that included the Springhead Medical Centre. He will perhaps be best remembered for his love of Hull City and the work he did for the Hull City Official Supporters Club (HCOSC). During his time with the HCOSC, he carried out the duties of Chairman and Company Secretary and was also very much involved in events that particularly included the Tiger Cubs. I remember Ron once telling me that the “lifeblood” of any Football Club is the youngsters and I know that when he was elected Chairman of the HCOSC, it was one of the proudest days of his life. As a friend he was loyal, he did not “suffer fools gladly” and once he was your friend he would remain so no matter what. He was a great supporter of Walton Club and his friends there will miss him very much. I am sure I speak for all who knew Ron that we will miss his presence, friendship and company and our thoughts are very much with his lovely wife Carol and devoted daughter Zoe at this very sad time. Bernard Noble Ron’s funeral will be held on Thursday 8th September, 2:30pm at Chanterlands Avenue large Chapple. please log in to view this image
