Regardless it doesn't interest me I'm in it for the glory, for the day out with the fans, for the silverware for the derbys, I'm a hopeless football romantic and always will be.

Not at all, I don't find talking about money in football interesting. Why should I? It's only become of fan interest with the media banging on about it. You've won stuff as a club (not much but some) I presume you enjoyed that more than pouring over the clubs accounts?

Of course it's not a level playing field.

By the way, United were outspent by Ruthie's former club Liverpool in the 90's, I think that's what really irks him.

During a period of the 00's we were outspent by most of the league and won three titles and a European Cup. But that period doesn't count apparently as it included the sale of Ronaldo.

Ruthie, we've been very successful over the years.

It's something the have nots like to moan about when they should be focussing on the terrible transfer business of their own clubs.

But the glory of doing it like Leicester is 10 times any that Utd, Chelsea or City will feel. When it becomes an expectation, surely the gloss is taken off it a bit. Not saying they shouldn't enjoy it, but Leicester should enjoy it more. IMO.

And we go back to the fact that no fan of Chelsea, City, United or any other wealthy club that wins trophies gives a **** that a Swansea/ex-Liverpool fan considers their success hollow. So you're pissing in the wind off a roof with your whining <laugh>

When Leicester put their title Cup back on the table , the table needs to be reinforced

Again this is down to fan attitude, I agree Leicester fans will have had a ball winning it out of the blue like that. Some Man Utd fans may have become arrogant over time, perhaps Liverpool fans did I don't know, but when fans start not being interested in the League Cup or Europa then that is down to the money machine winning. As fans we have to fight for what's important to us and fight against the money aspect of football or we're in danger of becoming Arsenal (the club not the fans) they are a great example of this where the club don't really care about success as long as they get 4th and get the CL money they are a business and have forgotten their fans. I'll give Man Utd their credit the attitude is always to be successful on the pitch.

Re your last line, that is true now but it wasn't under the Glazers at the start of their regime. Fergie had to work on a sell to buy basis. The fact that he built a new team that caught up with and then overtook Chelsea was his greatest feat as a manager IMHO.

You're right there, easily forgotten because of what Fergie did. Took it's toll in the end but you are on the up again (unfortunately). Both our clubs have always looked at success on the pitch as the main objective and all this mud slinging is nonsense. Gutted that we haven't been very good at it for a while but we've had great moments along the way and I have no idea what those moments made my club in money all I know is that they were great days that I'll never forget.

Arsenal are the " Fork in the Road " team of the Premier .
They could spend more but have a financial conscious.
They spend half as much , and generally keep who they bought .
To me they are the link between haves and haven'ts in fiscal responability .
Chelsea , ManU and Man City fans belittle the Gunners for not keeping up with them in spending .
The first club to try to keep up with Manchester United in the Premier was Leeds .....and look where they ended up.

This idea that if you have more money it 'should' make you more successful is clearly demonstrated to be bollocks by HIAG, who is very rich, owns a coastal mansion and drives an expensive sports car, but is still a loser.

One of the saddest statements I've ever seen from a football fan. Utter bollox. They've done it that way so that the rich owners can pocket more cash, they've starved their fans of success in order to line their pockets.
