He was clearly third choice, and not all that much of an upgrade in terms of overall quality, but you never know, he may step up his game. 17 goals in 37 games isn't too bad, nor is it outstanding but still, its another option to have other than Giroud, who quite often goes missing for 5 games.
Yep, not first choice but an addition in an area we badly needed. His strike rate wasn't bad for Deportivo, and I'm hoping that in a team with Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla he'll get plenty more chances. One thing that gives me optimism is that Giroud loves to play alongside a striker who makes runs into the box, he's one of the best at holding the ball up and feeding an attacker running ahead of him. He did that really well at the Euro's with Griezmann and was part of the reason France did so well.
Well Levy does have previous for selling the family silver at times of financial crisis will be interesting to see what gives with this astounding news. Ps. Spurs attempt marque signing by having £18.8 mil offer for Wilfred Zaha turned down. Levy told come back with £30 mil or no deal. Harry Lame replacement?
I think so if we can get this bloke from Sporting (striker). Not sure we´ve got a replacement for Kanté mind.
Rumours that we are getting Sissoko from Toon. If so, then we've done ok. Shifted a lot of players that didn't add anything, but brought in Janssen, Wanyama and, possibly, Sissoko to cover Kane, Dier and Dembele. A loan of Isco would be the cherry on top, but that's not how we roll. Edit: And N'Koudou, forgot about him. He's been waiting ion a London hotel for weeks waiting to join us!

... think you are miles off signing him right now ... Levy up to his usual tricks making a risible offer if rumours are true ... £2 million down payment with 25 years of £1m instalments to follow and a further £5m if Sissoko scores a hat-trick in the 2038 World Cup final ... (I may have exaggerated some bits admittedly ) ...
Could do without the last minute window transfer attempts over the last 6 seasons that so winds up Spurs supporters everywhere.
People will be talking about this one for a long time (regardless of whether all those mega-signings come good or not) .
Please feel free to show us the "times of financial crisis" since ENIC took over Spurs, where the "family silver" has been sold ...
