Has your club strengthened in the areas that it needs ? Has this window seen your club priced out of getting the players you need ? Has your club shifted on players that weren't contributing ? Overall Good, bad or ugly ?
For Arsenal, pretty happy. Although we didn't get the marquee striker we'd hoped for, we strengthened at CB, DM and we got a CF. Higuian selling for £89m tells you everything though about strikers this window.
No. Seriously, we're supposed to be pushing on. Pochettino has got us where Levy wanted to be, in the CL, so I expected he'd be given a bit more in the way of funds to try and at least maintain our position. Unless we've bought very wisely, and that remains to be seen, further progress is unlikely.
Sold a heap of players with no replacements it seems....deadline day will be fun...not. Happy to have got cover for Kane and Dier but we need a bombastic signing to give the place a lift and get going.
I'm surprised at Spurs. You had such a good season last year, and I thought you would try and kick on from there by strengthening, especially knowing that the big clubs would all do so. It was clearly evident that you were relying on Harry Kane last season, I suppose you've signed Janssen and as I've mentioned the market for strikers was thread bare, but if Kane gets injured or (as it looks at the moment) tired or loses form, then I think Spurs will struggle for goals. Also, what's up with Erikson ? He looks like he's got one eye on the door too. Is he happy at Spurs ?
I think Eriksen wants to stay. His problem, as I see it, is that he likes to play further forward and make the killer pass - be the playmaker. But to do that he needs a good supply of passes from the rest of his midfield. I'd be interested to see how he does when Dembele plays against how he does without him.
Surely that is Erikson's best position though ? If he's played out of position, then it's understandable he's not performing to his best, or very happy with the situation.
He always plays like he's depressed. Personally I think he needs to be benched...he turns it on when he's ready it seems. We need to sign a winner to lead the way....but I think all our TV money has gone on the new stadium. It was expected. There is something very lethargic about Spurs...its ****ing grating on me.
Gooners have been all last minute smacks of desperate to me, if they were genuine targets there would have been activity before now. I have mixed feelings but generally good and am looking forward to this team gelling.
We'll see. All signs are that he will sign a new contract. In general, I know we have a new stadium to pay for, but I expected more support for MP than this. Unless tomorrow is going to produce a big surprise.
Perez has confirmed that Arsenal made contact with him at the start of the window, so you can **** off with your last minute desperate bollocks
Er, no! Not yet, anyway. Chadli going was no great surprise. I'm just surprised that replacements have been short in supply.
Just read that you've sold Ryan Mason too. Personally I thought he looked good. Why the clear out with no replacements ?
Spaniard be careful what you say...a part of me thinks Pixie is just gathering new material to **** us up with somewhere along the line.
Err....no mate, couldn't be happier....the juggernaut is revving....full steam ahead...we don't do Augusts anyway.
I think Poch rates Harry Winks ( no,I haven't misspelt it!) so, I think that's probably the reason for Mason being sold. I just think we need more support in some key positions. As has been alluded to, without Eriksen we lack the creativity to break down packed defences.
