You're being unfair PS. The likes of Remy and Benteke havent been mentioned on here once. The general reaction from almost every member to the Zaha rumour tells you all you need to know about what 'most of us lot ' think. I'd rather not be linked to any players at all than waste £15m on overrated bilge like him.

But facts are facts - there are glaring deficiencies in our squad that are few in number but noticeably crucial.
And there are quality, reasonably priced players out there who could well be the difference between building on last season and regressing.

I've noticed two extremes on this forum: Some who wear our zero net spend balance sheet like a badge of honour, and others who perhaps mistakenly make the money=quality assumption. The middle ground is spending when necessary, even if we do pay slightly over the going rate. As much as Poch harps on about 'finding the right player', he has signed his fair share of 'wrong players' who have been unceremoniously ousted after mere months at the club. There is an element of risk in any transfer; no club has a 100% success rate in its dealings. And for a club whose motto says the opposite, we seem at times to be allergic to doing and daring.

 

To dare is to do.

And Steven Clemence is there on the coaching staff.

 

AS are claiming that Isco's open to joining one of two clubs on loan: Spurs or Malaga.
I'm sure that he'll enjoy his time in Andalusia.

 

You think the stadium finances could be scuppering us?

I sometimes get the feeling that Levy and co want to sell up once the stadium is done and in the meantime they are making money where they can therefore maximising their windfall. At the same time trying to have a 'competitive' team on the field. With the evergreen excuse that we can't compete with the 'big boys' due to our lack of success and not because we don't 'spend'. If anyone questions that we don't spend then they can show us the list of £20 million plus signings we have made in recent seasons.

Or maybe I just need a spliff.

Lyall Thomas of sky sports has said isco is not happening. However, other conflicting reports state that Isco is going to choose us or Malaga.
