Wednesday 31 August: New owners announced, deal done? New Head Coach announced, deal done? New players sign on the dotted line? One hell of a day in prospect and the biggest news, the Allams have bu**ered off!
I think the best thing to hear from that interview is that Marshall won't be disappointed should he be on the bench, he knows he's going to be fighting for a place.
I actually think keeping it separate is a good idea, people don't want to trawl through 50 pages between signings and they can come on this thread to see interviews and info. Transfer rumours can go on the other thread.
Leave this thread separate, allows people to see all the stuff rounded up without having to trawl through that stupidly huge transfer thread.
Exactly. And any thread designed to avoid the waffle and rumour always descends into waffle l, rumour and argument in the dead spots between news. Which is a long time at the moment.
Don't see any interview vids in that opening post, which is what I'm posting on here. Don't see the problem here. Funnily enough this thread would have so far had no waffle or rumour had you not complained. Oh, the irony.
Here's the Mason article from the HDM: Spoiler: HDM Mason article Hull City have broken their transfer record to sign Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason for a sum in the region of £10m. Having already sealed a £3.5m move for Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall earlier today, City have doubled up their business by unveiling Mason on a three-year contract. The fee to land the 25-year-old England international is undisclosed but exceeds the £9.5m outlay on Abel Hernandez two years ago. City agreed a deal with Tottenham on Friday and fended off late competition from Premier League rivals Sunderland to secure the midfielder's services. Mason came through the formalities of a medical at the club's training ground on Tuesday afternoon and admitted he went with a "gut feeling" to join City. "It felt right to leave Tottenham," Mason told Sky Sports News. "I had to go with my gut and as soon as I heard this club was interested Hull City was the one for me. It was pretty straightforward and I was excited. "There were a few clubs interested but hopefully I can justify the faith that Hull have put in me. I'm 25 and I want that exposure of playing week in week out, hopefully I can get that here and kick on as a player and help the football club. "You've got to take a look at the characters within this squad. They've had 12 or 13 fit players and have two wins, and I'm sure when players come back from injury and maybe with a few more signings, we'll have a good season. "I'm coming into my peak but my first and foremost goal is to get into this team and improve as a player. Anything can happen in football but I want to play for my country." City have been on the tail of Mason for much of the summer, with previous manager Steve Bruce declaring an interest as far back as early July. Mason was initially keen to see if he still had a future with Tottenham but the closest he has come to first-team action this season was when named as an unused sub on the opening day. A fresh challenge is now about to begin for the Enfield-born star, who was capped by England as recently as March 2015. Mason has previously spent time out on loan with Yeovil, Doncaster, Millwall and Swindon, as well as a stint with French side Lorient.
We need a new club interviewer. He sounds like he's going to fall asleep or couldn't care less. Pretty cringe.
This is all very positive, being new signings and all, but footballers are ****ing boring when they speak aren't they?
I like this thread, it's about today and is very current I'm looking forward to tomorrow's thread about tomorrow
