Don't be silly, that's a multi storey car park in Swindon.

The city is called Beer Shevea or Beersheba, not Hapoel :) and is closer to the West Bank than Gaza. I'd guess it's at least as safe as the UK during the troubles, if not more so - the Israelis are very good at security & the few rockets that are ever sent the way of Beersheba are supposedly kept out by their "iron curtain" missile defense system.

It's certainly safer than United's trip to Ukraine (warning - do not research the team they're playing on google images). Unfortunately, I don't think I can get holiday the day we're playing them as tickets will probably not be easier to come by as most will react badly to the thought of going to what's technically a warzone. But having been to Israel before (Jerusalem & the holy lands) on a trip from a holiday to Cyprus, I found the country to be lovely, and have wanted an excuse to see more of it for some time.

Yeah I wasn't really saying it wouldn't be safe. Just kinda crazy that we're playing a competetive game in that sort of area. Over on SW there's a few vids of Celtics trip to there recently and the atmosphere there looks absolutely mental! Would love to be able to go. I know it's also supposed to be a beautiful country too. Tel Aviv is the place to be for more to see though I believe.

United are off to Turkey as well aren't they?

Also from a footballing perspective this group is gonna be very difficult to qualify from imo

Thanks. I'll have to work out where I am with work etc. I almost definitely can't go to Sparta but hoping to get to the other two. I'll let you know though.

Yeah it is, hopefully we are still in it when we go to Prague and then Hapoel at home last.

Am currently out of work so haven't been brave enough to book a trip to the San Siro as I don't know when I'll land another contract. Gutted as the only European away game I've ever managed to get to was against steaua Bucharest in 2003...and we know how that one turned out with a bloody late winner against us.
If I get more work fairly quickly, I'm going to Italy but can't gamble on flights and hotels if I might not be able to afford it so have to wait and see. A few things in the pipeline so hopefully I'll be OK to go.
I'd like to go to Prague too, but that might be a problem getting tickets as our allocation won't be huge. Great city though

IT, but only really 2nd line support stuff so not where the big money is. I have had a varied career over the years and have worked as a chef, pub landlord, retail manager, B2B sales, manufacturing - you name it really and I've probably been involved in it somewhere along the line.
I live in a bit of an employment desert too which makes matters harder. I'm an hour's drive from Bristol, same to Southampton, so daily commutes tend to be tedious and costly hence why I like jobs where I am home based like the contract I have just finished.
There's always something lurking out there for me to do, just haven't found it yet.

Really annoyed, the club want me to pay £48 for my Europa bundle when a) I'm 21 so in the 18-21 bracket (JUST!) and b) I have a concessions season ticket (18-21).

Someone contacted them on Twitter about the fact they had a Concessions ST but were being charged adult Europa tickets.

They said to contact the sales office as it should have been same as ST type

Or, on the flipside, perhaps you should be grateful the club offer an 18-21 season ticket? Not many do...

Have emailed them, will see what they say.

Yeah, but I'm not going to pay more than I should have to. I'm a young adult, I'm not made of money!!

I was a student 5 short years ago. I'd have been delighted to pay £16 to watch Southampton at home against Inter. Add inflation onto that and I'd be positively delirious.

The prices are decent regardless ... but when I'm entitled to get it cheaper, it makes me want to do that!
