Transfer window about to shut

Wednesday 11pm the window shuts. DC said he wants 2 more players before it shuts. What positions do you think these 2 players will be for?

 

I'm not sure maybe a couple of Midfielders

 

Rumours going round that he wants 2 midfielders and possibly a striker
One of the names mentioned was Boatang Crystal Palace, this name was mentioned in the Evening post a couple of weeks ago

 

Yeah the Boatang rumour seems to of been around for a while

 

Leaving it very late in the day for these signings to appear, is our squad strong enough to make progress without new players

 

We would like to think so but a bit of midfield steel and experience wouldn't go a miss

 

Bristol Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng, on loan, until 2nd January.

Manager Darrell Clarke said of his latest signing;
“I am delighted to be able to welcome Hiram to Bristol Rovers and wish him every success whilst he is with us. I would like to thank the club’s owner and directors for making this signing possible and to thank Crystal Palace for allowing Hiram to move to The Memorial Stadium. The closing of the transfer window later today will see many clubs rushing to complete their business by 11.00pm, so I am pleased that, with everyone’s help, we have managed to make this signing well before the cut off point. The addition of Hiram will add competition for places within the squad and I think there will be a beneficial effect for all concerned. I’m sure that our supporters will welcome Hiram to The Mem and I’m certain they will be looking forward to seeing him wearing the blue and white quarters.”

Chairman Steve Hamer added;
“I think we have pulled off quite a coup in signing Hiram who will undoubtedly strengthen our squad and goes a long way to helping us be a competitive force in League One this season.”

Boateng already has league experience, having spent time on loan at both Crawley and Plymouth Argyle.
A member of the Crystal Palace Academy from the age of eight, he graduated through the ranks at Selhurst Park and made his first team debut in a third round FA Cup replay against Stoke City in January 2013.
His league debut for Palace came against Swansea in February of this year by which time he had already spent time out on loan, playing once for Crawley Town back in March 2014 and 16 games for Plymouth Argyle in the first half of the 2015/16 campaign.
He played for Argyle against Rovers at Home Park last season, but his first spell with the club was cut short by injury. However he returned to Argyle for a second loan spell in March this year and appeared in a further eight league games and the League Two play off semi finals and final.
Hiram was an unused substitute for Palace last Saturday, when they drew 1-1 with AFC Bournemouth and played at Ashton Gate last night as the Palace U-21 side beat Bristol City 1-0.

Need a permanent signing IMO all these loans are going ok until their clubs call them back.

Chelsea duo Jake Clarke-Salter (defender) and Charlie Colkett (midfielder) have signed season long loans.

Colkett is a real coup for us. Excited about this deal.

 

Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce the signings, on a season long loan, of Chelsea duo Jake Clarke-Salter and Charlie Colkett.

The club’s owner and directors deserve a great deal of credit for allowing us to bring in three players from Premier League clubs on the same day and I would like to thank them again for making this possible. With the transfer window about to close we knew that we needed to add to our squad, but we have been patient and waited for the right players to become available. I’m sure that our supporters will welcome Jake and Charlie to our squad and hope they, like all of us, are excited about the future of this club.”

Chelsea defender Clarke-Salter joined The Blues in 2006 and first played for their U-18 side in December2013 when only 16 years old. An England U-18 and U-19 international, he went on to skipper Chelsea’s U-18 side and was a member of the side that won the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League. He has made one appearance for Chelsea’s first team, against Aston Villa on 2nd April this year.

Midfielder Colkett, a team mate of Salter’s joined the Stamford Bridge outfit as an 11 year old and made his U-18 debut when just 15 years old. He has been capped by England at every level up to U-20 and was regular in Chelsea’s side in 2014/15. He was also a member of the FA Youth Cup winning sides and a recent skipper of the UEFA Youth League side, and was an unused substitute for Chelsea’s game against Swansea in April this year, the month he signed a new three year deal with the club.
