Let's not get carried away, last time we "won" the transfer window. There's still a long way to go!
Other teams are bedding in new players, we aren't. A lot of what we've seen so far is adrenaline, how long that's going to last is anyone's guess!
It's like saying Messi & Suarez were **** because they didn't score tonight!

Good managers should get commitment from players, when a manager doesn't get that you know you have problems. We just became too used to them being half assed under Bruce every now and then.

You saying other teams are **** & we can survive because we've won 2 games & are in 5th after 3 games is exactly like saying Messi & Suarez are **** after not scoring tonight!
    Over reacting!

We should be on 7 points already! Elmo should have kicked the fat skouser into the stands when he had the chance! It'll come down to these lost points if we stay up or not...4 points out of the next 3 games is a must. With our small sqaud we need 10 points on the board early otherwise these **** teams will go past us.

Only Mike Dean seems to be enforcing that rule.

No it's not. You see, these teams I reference weren't the best teams in the world and then failed in one single game. These teams are widely accepted to finish in the bottom half and my point is that at present from what I've seen we look better than them.

    It's a pretty significant point.

Aah but they had pacey forwards John. We dont apparently. And all we're doing is looking at signing false 10's and defensive midfielders.

'False 10s'? I'm really behind with this new position terminology.

There are more ways of doing it than just having a pacey forward(s). One thing that has changed under Phelan is that we are definitely moving the ball out of defence quicker, and passing the ball quicker. Huddlestone is starting to be move effective going forward, being played in a more advanced position.

At the end of the day, I am sure under Phelan if he gets the job, against lesser teams than Manure you will see a more attacking set up.

Chatting to my neighbour this morning and we both said the only teams that look a real cut above are Man United, Man City and Chelsea. The rest of the league do look beatable. Of course, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham do still have players who can win a game out of nothing but they do seem more prone to 'off days' than Hunter, United and Chelsea. The league should start to settle down more by the next international break and that should give us more of an idea about what to expect from our rivals.
