Well if you're honestly trying to suggest giving youth a chance is indicative of how many players up to the age of 19 have scored a goal, then not only is it straw clutching it's desperate <laugh>

And it would only mean anything if you compared it to other managers

Jose has given two of our youth players a chance inside 4 games and both have scored the vital winner in their games. While yours is scoring the winners for Man City <whistle>

    Wrong!

    Sterling was QPR's youth player.

I see Las Palmas are top of La Liga, beat Granada 5-1 today. Two of their goals scored by Nabil El Zhar, remember him?

Yep, Madrid and Barca are really missing some of their top players up front. Madrid's GD will go up when they get Ronaldo and Benzema back, Barca will improve greatly once Neymar is back (they really struggled against Bilbao tonight).
Las Palmas are doing very well at the moment :emoticon-0100-smile

All results are good if they are in your favour

Was a very good game though and a hard earned win. Williams looks really good so far this season.

Inaki Williams, young wide forward for Bilbao, fast, strong and very talented who's first thought is to attack.
Ask Jimmy about him, he must have great scores on FM

Ah right, heard of him but haven't seen much of him yet. Do A.Bilbao still have this strict Basque-only policy on players?

Yep, but I think they would break it for the right player now.

    anyone bothered by england squad

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley).

Defenders: Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).

Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Michail Antonio (West Ham United), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal).

Strikers: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City).

    GK looks bog standard
Defenders: walker might need replacing. Nohting controversial there though.. no new picks
Midifled. No barkely is a "shock" People keep putting wooney down as a midfielder which is silly. How is theo in this still?
Strikers... meh.. kane needs a rest. won't get it here.

Nothing really new which is why the debate is aorund antonio being in there.

more or less yes. you don't need to be doing this in your first game. He should be forming a 15/16 man core squad round him as a team who all play the system that he won't be changing for 2 years... he's gone with 3 CMS here plus Rooney. 4 wide men. and then alli who nobody knows really where to play. he doesn't himself as a player yet.

    on england:

Why is allardyce bothering to wait til tomorrow to tell us who the england captain will be?

Is he craving the attention or what?

we all know who it is so nobody should be paying any attention.

    Squad balance:

    3 gk.. check
    2 RB check
    2 lb check
    4 **** cbs.. check
1 CB/RB playing CM check 2 real CMS check. 1 fat old utd striker playing CM check.
    1 LW (right footed) check
2 lads nominally RWs who try to play anwhere but check
    1 RW (debutant CHECK
    3 strikers check

    hmmmmm....

Looks to me like england have great balance and the decision to drop barkely was genius. having antonio, lallana and walcott for RW makes perfect sense to me of course.

Real talk people, real talk ... anybody else just ****ing sick of football ??! Been trying to get into it but it's so repetitive in many ways, hard to summon any enthusiasm for it. And now it's the international break which isn't gonna help exactly
