Make that opening game in our promotion season 1964. George Mulhall got two of our goals and Charlie Hurley the other. Hurley spent most of his time making sure Forster got loads of protection. There are echoes of our goalkeeper situation at the minute. Monty was out with a broken hand and we signed the Scotland U23 keeper Sandy McLaughlan who was so good that Monty barely got a game until the other keeper got injured. Football does not change does it.
Any major piece will do - at the moment our U23's seem best bet to win a cup - that's a sad indictment of how poor we are - but we'll see what happens before the TW closes
