Still though Phil, it's not an inspiring start...... Also Villa won their first game of the season last year, 1-0 away at a newly promoted club, Bournemouth.....
It's the response anyone would get watching you call the manager crap and giving little credit where credit is due . You (and a few others )latched onto Guidolin as your kicking bag since the moment he became manager and will continue to do so and every given chance . Watching your response to Guidolin , now that's fuking typical . A manager and team that has all new strikers and lost its foundational CB needs a a bit of REASONABLE time to function ....try looking up reasonable valley , I'm fairly sure it's a word lacking in your vocabulary
I can't remember the last Swans' Manager who didn't end up as a "kicking bag". Should come as no surprise that Guidolin is next in line.
In many respects, it "comes" with the territory ..... We all want the Manager to do well because we want the Swans to flourish......
Guildo will have to be replaced with someone who understand how and what to do to win games when it is not working for us....We have played 3 games and all have been the same format with no change and all three games we have been piss poor with no imagination at all.....Guildo is to blame for that and i fear that once we are bottom and a few points behind then he wont have a clue how to get out of it and we will fall further behind and doomed to relegation....He has to be replaced with a more experience who has the t-shirt of premiership football ASAP.....
It is a bit early to slam Guidolin but that doesn't mean he's beyond criticism. They were a shambles yesterday. Defending a high line against a team that the world knows because they won the league playing long ball counter attacking football is crazy. That's all Vardy has is the channel sprint from a Drinkwater pass. I wouldn't be surprised if no other team defends high against Leicester this season. It wouldn't make any sense if they did. I had high hopes (ish) for this season but that was based on us getting at least 4 points from the 1st 2 games. To lose against Hull was catastrophic with the run of games we have and are into now. Thought similar for the last 6/7 games of last season (not being able to see where a point would come from) and that didn't turn out too bad so hopefully they can turn a corner. I watched some of the worst football I've seen for a good few years from the team last week though so it doesn't fill me with optimism. Our identity that got us to this league was the passing game. That seemed to vanish under Monk and we just play like any other generic struggler now. We need that identity back.
And all were piss poor boring displays. We got away with it last season and while other teams this season have strengthened, we are now weaker.
Can't be used as an excuse as A) we should have signed strikers long before we did B) Guido should have blocked the Ash deal so close to the season.
Vardy is an onside master on the counter attack , and Amat is going to be prone to that if he is going to be a starter game in and game out . I'd give VDH a few starts at the expence of Amat . Hull beats Leicester. and it's a one off , but when we lose to Hull it's a " Sign of the times " ...losses happen . I hope Ki! Cork and Siggy start starting right away and the passing game will return IMO , contrary to popular belief , I think Ki will have a very successful season .
On this issue maybe , but when there are all happy , you find anything to be pessimistic . Boy who cried wolf comes to mind , when you complain about nothing , it's hard to listen when you actually have an issue . Early in the season and the wheels come off with some , now that's typical
It is not about losing it is about how we are playing and the way we are losing is the problem..... Ki,cork and Gylfy will never play the passing game under Guildo........Guildo dont do passing like we are use too....
A) we should have signed strikers long before we did B) Guido should have blocked the Ash deal so close to the season.[/QUOTE] A) Is it my imagination, or do Swans' transfer dealings, not counting the International clearance fiasco, seem to take a lot longer than that of other Clubs? B) Blocking Williams' move would have resulted in one very unhappy player, and that would have been counterproductive, I think.

A sulky player is of no use to anyone, and they do tend to sulk a lot.
I believe we are not getting the full story why Ash has left anyway...He was very happy to end his career with us not long ago and we looked after him very well, in fact we made Ash into a star and the player he is today. There is more too it than him wanting to learn things off Everton s manager which is a smoke screen for something else
What you belief and what actually happened is more than likely miles apart , but you go ahead and throw that matzah ball out there , maybe it will stick
