Perhaps you could tell us: * which particular crime(s) he was tried for the first time * what the outcome was * which particular crime(s) he was tried for the second time * what the outcome was * why he wasn't allowed a lawyer * why he wasn't allowed a translator * why he wasn't allowed contact with the outside world * why he was tortured * why he had all his funds frozen worldwide * why his funds are still frozen worldwide And you proclaim yourself to have Socialist ideals! You should be ashamed of yourself. You realise that if you go to Dubai on holiday, all it takes is a call to the authorities to say you've broken one of their archaic laws & you'd be in the same situation as he was? Innocent until proven guilty. If you are planning a trip there, best not advertise it here!

I used to feel sorry for Haigh but events, interviews, scandal and hearsay since he has been back have made me change my mind, I don't believe he is innocent in all the goings on and I believe he has much evidence against GFH as I do. I think he screwed us as much as GFH. If he had an ounce of what he claims he has he would have used it on day one. If I had been in an Arab jail and treated like that and if I had any evidence that would earn me revenge, I wouldn't be giving interviews (that repeat what we already know over and over and over again) I would be seeking revenge.

Frankly, I have no idea what Haigh did for us - good or bad. Agree about GFH And that's the point - you do end up in jail for nothing over there! Haigh was due to be released from jail last November after completing his sentence for the alleged 'fraud'. GFH then had him retained in jail until March this year for 'Malicious Slander' - i.e. tweets that were sent out about GFH that they didn't like. He remained in jail without appearing in court & was then acquitted when he got to present his defence in court - which was that he was in jail at the time so couldn't possibly have sent the tweets, as they wouldn't allow him a phone in there! So, completely innocent, and this could have been proved in minutes, but instead he was jailed for a further 4 months! You call that justice?
