Ah, the good old "we don't care about you enough to dislike you" or "were too big to even notice you" lines from the scum factory. Even though the Chelski faithful (sic) are now more likely to be stock brokers than hooligans its amazing how the refrains remain the same across the generations. In the old days visitors from the Bridge would use such phrases to harden themselves up for their inevitable pasting on the pitch - they almost started believing it in the end. That's not so likely these days of course but for sure they won't mind if we do end up beating them.
Ah yes...the bittersweet cry of a fan who's club is owned by two of the wealthiest men in sport and who won't spend a penny. Born out of frustration methinks. We don't control the owner, and we don't have any say as to how the club is run, but EVERYONE BUYS SUCCESS...and success can be measured by many things...staying in the league...finishing top half...finishing top four..winning the league etc..so get used to it.
We don't, get over it. Football has gone global, as a result more people take an interest in it than they did 20 years ago. Football has gone from a traditionally working class sport to one that is watched by pretty much anyone and everyone.
If you knew anything about football (unlikely) you would know money has always played a huge part in football. Those that spend more get more back in return. Nothing has changed. Even Barcelona, whom many purists consider to be the perfect footballing team have spent fortunes on players and run up huge debt.
When did u get a hold of Barcelonas annual revenue, I personally heard they were the most profitable of the lot. hmm....
So wait, it's not about kicking a ball around a field and hitting it in the net. Oh ... sorry, must of got the wrong sport.... I was under the impression we were talking about football not, investment banking.
Results are back...primitive at best...not likely to harm others but may infilcit injury to self. Pretty good, fill your boots.
lol, Did u go to Barcelona - Chelsea two seasons back, I snagged some tickets for that. Definately the best game I seen in a while.
I'm not sure what that's got to do with the current discussion District but try going down to Barnsley or Crewe and telling them football's gone global and see what you get. There are still some real fans out there just not at the Bridge these days (unless you count the fat bloke down by the corner flag who always hulrls abuse at opposition corner takers).
The Catalan football people I know rate QPR highly because of the brand of football we play ... no so Chelsea and most of the world knows that you are a football machine grown by process ... the generic modified grop .. its so refreshing for the world that QPR are back even if its just to spice up the boring dish that the poor Chelsea fans have to chew over... The times are they are a changing
