Not sure if this tweet has been mentioned or if at all there's any truth in it. But would be interesting if true.
It's not cheap, it's the top end of what it's worth, but it's probably bollocks. The council are skint, they're unlikely to build FC a stadium whenever they've already built them one.
The KC cost £30 million of the overall cost of the development. Do you think it has defied reality and not depreciated like other similar buildings? Leicester's stadium, with a capacity of 7,000 more went for about £17 million. Coventry City's, newer with 7,000 more capacity, with a hotel a casino and an exhibition hall as part of it went for about £20million. Yet you think £25million for a KC in need of maintenance is cheap at £25 million?
easy mate viewing it from a layman's point of view, ****ing hell you put a point of view across and its confrontation central .
£25M for the stadium is a bit steep. The state of some of the areas behind the scenes leave a lot to be desired. The comms and I.T. are in a shocking state hence the crap Wifi and PA system. Some of the suites and the attached toilets are in a pretty poor state together with the bar areas. Most rooms in the service corridors are a mess and the carpets need a change plus some of the ceiling tiles are damaged or missing. The white external stadium support steelwork needs attention and the West stand staircases were never finished properly anyway.
So pointing out what larger stadiums have gone for less is confrontational? Is a layman someone who has no idea?
Easy to find out that other, similar but large stadiums have gone for considerably less than what you feel is cheap.
That's expensive! Behind the scenes it's showing its age and doesn't appear to have had much if any general maintenance on it. It's in need of some TLC. We went behind the scenes for my lads birthday in January and I was surprised at how crap it looked in places.
