If City can keep this going all season, rather than giving up after five games like they did last season, then they should cruise the division - regardless of how improved Utd and Chelsea look. They've got a five man attack.
Next match for City is ......Manchester United!!!!! Yet to see any City shirts being worn around Palma de Mallorca. Are many being worn on the Isle of Wight or Southampton? Would be interesting to see how many youngsters in the South identify with City as they do with United, Arsenal, Chelsea, or Liverpool.
If City win this, the likely top 3 have emerged very, very early. What do they have in common? Besides loads of money, a world class number "9" or whatever number they wear, leading the line, Aguero, Ibra and Coasta, and world class managers. Liverpool also have a class manager but to compare Sturridge with the three afore-mentioned players would be ridiculous.
Obviously I'm not expecting us to play anywhere close to this level, but it does illustrate the benefits of passing it out from the back, rather than just lumping the ball forward from goal-kicks when you have next to no aerial threat to compete against opposition defenders. Against Watford and Sunderland we were just handing the ball back to them.
