Should have played them against Gillingham maybe - might have done more! It seems they are playing at the training ground rather than St Albans - maybe that helps in a funny way. Playing on pitches and surroundings they know well rather than a poor pitch and average dressing rooms.
I find it sad that there are no longer proper reserve games. I used to enjoy going to see the reserves in the Mid-Week London League. I saw Charlie Woods score an amazing goal at one of those games. Shame he couldn't do it for the first team.
I used to watch them play in the Football Combination. Memorable games, such a 10-0 thrashing of our 'old friends' Luton & John Barnes scoring after ten seconds of his debut against Swindon
As a boy I regularly watched West Brom reserves. Players returning from injury often turned out and there was real competition to win the title (was it the Central League back then? I'm talking late 1950s).
Notice Behrami and Janmaat played for their respective countries...Berghuis also came on for the Dutch. Not Holebas though.
http://www.expressandstar.com/news/...left-fighting-for-life-following-wolves-game/ Some justice done for Nic...
Nothing is enough of a punishment for what these boys did to Nic. Like all victims he will live with this incident and the impact of it for the rest of his life, whilst these scum will have probably forgotten all about it by the time they hit the age Nic is today!!!
A rather contrasting view of events and the outcome on a couple of Wolves forums: http://www.wolvesforum.co.uk/showthread.php?30974-The-Nic-Cruwys-Six http://www.molineuxmix.co.uk/index....ckers-permanently-banned.190174/#post-4781955 I guess it is only the Internet and a person behind a screen so who knows what "loyalties" they have..
Even if there was some sort of previous incident that doesn't excuse what these thugs did - kicking him a number of times and then no doubt running away. We aren't talking about a drunken play fight where things went wrong...
