So Sturridge got six minutes football today

What are our thoughts on the reasons behind this ? ... he is apparently fully fit but Klopp isn't really using him

Does Klopp simply not rate him ?

Does Klopp believe that he isn't the Klopp type of striker - i.e. resilient and tough, will work hard all the time, will link up with other FW / AM players - and is simply too fragile and 'luxury' to play his style of football ?

Is there a major concern that if he is given a longer stint on the pitch he'll break down again ?

Was bringing him on so late about trying to make a point ?

With those points in mind ... Will we keep him or sell him and do you think Sturridge will still be at the club or not come midnight on Wednesday ?

Could happen I guess, they have the financial resources to take the risk and afford to have him sitting in the treatment room for six months if it doesn't work out

Strange how every club he's gone to he's ended up 2nd / 3rd choice on the bench, City, Chelsea, now us

Two things are guaranteed if we sell

    1. He goes and it works out at new club and he's playing, staying fit and scoring near every game, we're all saying **** shoulda kept the guy

    2. He goes, gets injured at new club as soon as they throw him in the deep end and we're all saying, ****, glad we got rid of that fine china guy

Sturridge has got to learn that if he wants to be first choice then he has to work hard and be fit. He can't expect to be injured for long periods, come back and immediately be first choice. Think this is alittle lesson to Studge that he isn't the only competent forward we have anymore.

I think Studge takes time to get fit and that he'll soon be up and running with us once fully fit.

    He can score..never in question..but...

    Injuries
    Too weak of body
    Too weak of mind

Firmino not half the striker...but then that's not what Klopps after...Firmino gets it...doesn't matter if you're on the left, in the centre etc..Klopp wants movement, constant movement...close down ...sprint...make space...make yourself available: anywhere.

Sturridge (injury free) could do it better than Firmino but he doesn't and never has wanted to.

It wasn't THAT much different up front with Rodgers...Sturridge looks good if everyone round him works their bit and his...not the Klopp way.

I thought klopp made a choice between coutinho and sturridge today but then he stuck on origi so i think now it might have been a case that klopp was making it cleat to sturridge that if he ****ing mouths off about his position then he doesnt play.

Lets see if danny boy sings to the press again

Got to learn that its not all about him.

Work hard for the team no matter the position, keep any grievances in house, don't go mouthing off to the papers trying to get your own way.

We really need to sell him. Best striker on the books when fit and motivated but we'll probably never see that again. I don't think he likes Klopp to be honest ecause Klopp called him out for being a cry baby last year.

We could buy a decent striker with the money from selling Studge + small ivestment. We desperatly need a new reliable striker.

He's never going to be for us what he once was.

The man obviously doesn't want to be there (for whatever reason) the LC game should tell you all you need to see this, 2 goals and no sign of the wavy balloon man dance or even a smile, when he walked off he totally blanked Klopp even though he made a point of going after him and trying to shake his hand.

He's a pussy...we've had too many of them these last few years...doesn't matter how skillful you are...no heart no legacy. Your best players, our best players over the years; maybe eccentric, maybe bastards but they loved the game...he doesn't...like a lot of players we see all too often these days.

Hate him for it. That talent and you settle into a self protected pattern..do just enough?

    ****er.

    Drunken rant over lol...see D! That's a rant lol

His finishing is his only trait these days. Completely lost all his pace and still looks as greedy as ever.

One of the more rational drunky rants

It's why he doesn't get a song and all that, nothing for supporters to connect with, even that feckin dance is hollow as fook

Sell him for as much money as it takes to buy Lacazette. I've had enough of his whinging. He should be happy just to be in the team. Great finisher, big ego, a little lazy....

Haven't seen the Burton game to witness what Diego described. His face yesterday when Origi was coming on painted a thousand words. Just never really liked his attitude and self righteousness, just grates on me.

That's the dilemma. All teams do but it does seem Sturridge and Klopp aren't on the same page for some reason.

He deserved being benched for that abomination on his head ffs.

Joking aside, he's one of the best strikers in the league, I don't understand why Klopp doesn't just stick him central and play Mane in the wide area. As when match fit Sturridge scores goals.
