Having the highest gate for (what was it?) 14 clubs in the div, is a pretty good indicator for the attraction of Leeds and their support...and their eternal panto villainy. Thing that makes me laugh reading this thread is i keep hearing we've got howson and we've got snodgrass and gradel who not even a tank could possibly stop because they're sooooooo good but what i'm failing to see from any of the leeds fans is any respect or knowledge about any of southamptons players i.e lallana,chamberlain,lambert,connolly (who is on fire) oh and jack cork,but wait a minute he can't possibly have a good game against leeds because he didn't play well when burnley played leeds last season (that's gotta be the best line i've heard) Carry on leeds and just think about how good you are because that suits us but maybe just maybe after saturday you might be talking about how good some of southamptons players are.Oh and also don't forget you aren't playing woking town,you are playing a good spirited hard working team who give everything so don't be so disrespectful to our players because it'll come back to bite you on the arse!

You've done the exact same thing with your players, you think all your players are going to completely dominate the game when it's been agreed that we have more quality in practically every position, and we are also settled in the league. It's also entirely true. Unless your defense is the best in the league (by a decent margin, too) then I doubt you'll keep all of our attacking players quiet, if any.
Big difference, your players did well in League 1. Your lot keep on about how you'll storm the league because that's what you did in League 1. And you keep going on about how Snodgrass and Howson didn't play well agains you 2 years ago! The fact is we can only rave about Lallana etc. when they do something this season, doing well in a lower division means nothing after the step up, it's how the players do afterwards.

lallana has already proven himself in the championship. several posters have already said this. seems you cant read very well.
Even if it's true that Southampton won't be playing Chamberlain, they still have a firepower of Connolly, Lambert, Lallana and De Ridder which isn't far off the quality of the one we'll be playing minus Becchio. I do think our defence will be stronger than theirs and it looks like both teams are pretty weak in the full-back positions (with the exception of Paul Connolly who I think will turn in a solid performance as per). Perhaps that gives us the edge. The central midfields look pretty equal to me, it's going to be a tight one and their passing game shouldn't be underestimated.
