Taken from the BBC news and gossip page Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has had his £20,000 watch stolen on a trip to a trampoline centre. (Manchester Evening News) I suspect most us here would pay say 20 euros tops from a Senegalese street vender in Mallorca or along the Costas or in the Canaries.
It depends what you deem as unprofessional behaviour. We know some fans of rival clubs have a low opinion of their neighbours but for a professional footballer to incite such emotions is extremely unprofessional, and is like that of a teacher swearing in front of a class as it could incite unruly behaviour. Same with Mr Wilshere in front of the Arsenal fans.
Ides, saying Tottenham are **** is only more offensive than saying that all gays should die to you. Everybody else in the world can see there's an ocean of difference between the two. One is a daft inter club rivalry in sport, the other is vile, dangerous and perpetuates a grim history of persecution.
Although the content is very different in both cases and in Andre Gray's case offensive to everyone and needs to be dealt with, Wilshere's behaviour as a professional footballer was totally unacceptable. If the fans of Arsenal and Tottenham want to chant childish rubbish at each other that is there choice but for a professional footballer to be offensive towards gays and anyone else in his firing line, and negativity towards a rival club is also unacceptable. Anyhow I've said enough. PS: Maybe both will be in Big Sam's England squad, although I would have neither of them.
Honestly Ides, I do love you, but you're terribly wrong on this one. The two offences are not even remotely comparable.
But what Gray said is not just unprofessional. It"s highly offensive and borderline illegal. As bad as it is I actually thought Wilsheres was quite funny. In the era of modern sanitised football it was nice to see a player who has a love for his club and a bit of passion for the rivalry. And I dislike Wilshere intensely.
At least we agree there. Actually I am totally indifferent to Wilshere. Just a shame he has so few brains, unlike Eden Hazard!!
