It is clear our squad is not strong enough and we are headed for a long few months ahead. Its no good saying we shouldn't panic, we are only 3 games in etc, but I think most watching these first few games would agree that something is not right.....and we have bugger all time left in this window to address it. There was not one player on the pitch today capable of lifting the team.

Quite frankly, any manger who says it is not his job to pick transfer targets, can bugger off. Guido is just a 'yes' man for Jenks and allowing him to continue playing football manager....which he clearly is not very good at. Either than, or our new owners really are filling their pockets as quickly as possible to cover their outlay. Stadium expansion my a#[email protected] the team with players that give a sh%$ and maybe we'll have a chance of staying up.

As for Guido's substitutions, the less said the better....reminded me of our worst days under Monk.

Roof - I can't argue with your sentiments.

We should be patient & steadfast.

However, much of what we have seen in the first 3 games echoed much of the worst parts under Guidolin last season. We (the team) & he don't seem to have learned & improved.

Even you, I recall said that you couldn't wait to see what Guido could achieve with a full pre-season - well, so far, what we've seen isn't very pretty......

During the week, it was stated by someone (I can't recall the poster, sorry) that we were on target for 57pts (3pts from 2 games); well, after 3 games, that figure has fallen to 38pts.

I agree that we have to keep the faith, but with the Yanks, I'm told, having invested their own cash - rather than cash from the Investment Funds that they are linked to, I wonder how much patience they will demonstrate.

The funny thing is that i do like Guildo as a person and i believe he is doing the best he can but sadly it's not good enough and never will be.....He will play the same planned game plan throughout the game whether we look terrible or not where most managers will change the way we are playing at any point of the game if it is not working.....We dont have leadership on the pitch and that needs to be sorted and quick. We have made a massive mistake in letting Ash leave when we could easily said we cant afford to lose such a valuable player and refused his request because at his age and his captaincy of the welsh team at stake he would have had too play his normal game.....Thank god for the Burnley win or we would be propping up the table with zero points but with the games we have coming up we are heading there anyway as i cannot see where any wins will come from playing like this....against anyone...

Here we go again. I sometimes wonder why you come on this forum because all you want to do is 'get behind the team' and think that's enough, then bitch about others' justified complaints as if you're the only person 'getting behind the team'. There isn't a single poster here who isn't behind the team - that's why there is so much discontent. I've always said that unjustified criticism is wrong but you can't say that about the way we played today - I would hope you'd agree.

In your world we aren't allowed to criticise the team for a poor performance. We aren't allowed to question the Manager. We are all supposed to sing kumbaya and say everything is fine when it clearly isn't. I fully agree it's early in the season and the team can and must play better but that performance today was very, very poor against a Leicester side that really haven't produced yet this season and clearly rely on the long ball. We knew the threat but let it happen. As Garth Crooks said, will teams never learn?

But hey, if you want to continue sticking your fingers in your ears and closing your eyes hoping everything will come right go right ahead. The rest of us live in the real world.<ok>
That was Roof by the way.

Didn't see the game, been moving gym equipment and laying rubber flooring, then moving gym machines back on it, but it's good to see we played well today reading this thread <laugh>

Were we worse than last week?

Had Guido not ended up in hospital, allowing Curt to be back in charge we would have gone down.

It looks like we are producing the same crap that we feared last season.

    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...swansea-city-boss-francesco-guidolin-11809690

"Guidolin claimed a “meeting” at half-time was behind a change in ploy that did give a little bit of positivity to the performance, but insisted it was only him handing advice to his players".

He said: “We changed a little after a meeting in the dressing room. They scored another goal. We begin to play a little bit higher with more aggression and intensity and some courage.

“I spoke with my players to tell them the game is not finished and to play if possible, the opponent is not easy. But we begin to play with more confidence and optimism and something has changed.".

Sounds like he's losing/lost the dressing room already? Or has Curtis given his opinion? Doesn't look good both on and off the pitch regardless.

His quotes suggest to me that he's terrified to play football. It's all boring, panicking defensive football and hoping to nick a winner. He's afraid of going out and winning games.

Another couple of defeats, and I can see Mr. G. becoming ill again. I don't wish it on him, but pressure will build very quickly if the team continues to decline. I wonder if he is strong enough to withstand it. He's not a young man, fragile even. Does anyone else see this as a possible scenario.

I agree. I don't think he's strong enough both physically nor mentally. The PL is a brutal pressure cooker.

Today we allowed Leicester to play their obvious game and allowed them too much space behind the back. Typically there was a set peice goal where the defenders just watched the ball go in.

The goals today were really predictable and avoidable. Leicester could have been beaten today if we were more organised and played to frustrate and turn it on during the last 20 mins.

I want to reserve judgement until the window closes and we see our new record striker but my patience is running thin. Although today was a better performance than last season if you want to look at the bright side of things.

I'm wishing that the board can see that the squad needs further investment with first team quality players but I'm not holding my breath.

The biggest disappointment is that when Siggy is not on form we look clueless which is worrying.

No chance! There's no way a manager worth his salt will take over and be dictated to what players come in by Huw.

Someone like Klinsman would tell Huw to get stuffed under such conditions.
