    bbc report that emnes has signed a three year extension with boro,so lets hope there"s no issue with routlidge,which to me is dragging on a bit

    You don't have much faith in the club do you! Routledge has agreed terms and has been completing a medical. If he doesn't sign it'll be for some reason to do with a medical, but I doubt that will be the case!

    If Emnes has indeed signed an extension to his contract, good luck to him! I never thought he'd get enough game time with us if we did sign him, and I think Routledge is a better all round winger which we needed.

    Yes Emnes is a winger by trade but we played him as a striker and that's why i,m a little dissapointed we won't have him as he is easily adaptable to both positions.

    I never said he was, although I kind of alluded to it in fairness. All the talk of us signing Marvin was backed up by "He can play all 3 forward positions", but seeing as we have Graham, Lita, Moore and Beattie then if he DID sign he'd have been cover for the wings rather than the central striker role, so I'm glad we got Routledge instead as he's a proper out and out winger.

    Emnes is a winger but is versatile enough to slot in up front. Bit like Scott Sinclair in that regard.
