If you'd put the new batteries in your hearing aid, like I told you, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. Oh, and another thing. She said you should oil the wheels on your zimmer, as her mother is finding it difficult to push you around.
I am not worried if he can score a few goals, it is whether he can defend as that is why we have signed him, it is all very well looking good against Colchester and Crewe, it is a different thing stepping up to the Pl and being expected to fill the boots of our captain and leader. He may well out to be a good signing, but yet again we are taking a chance on what he might be, rather than signing someone we know can cut it at this level.
We've got potential in Amat and Van der Horne. Ash'so replacement should be a ready established experienced CB. This could bite us on the arse big time this season, especially if Baston gets injured as Llorente won't keep us up.
I don't think Llorente will score many goals for us but I do think he'll be instrumental in holding the ball up for Siggy. He'll get a few goals but it's likely to be around 10 for the season
But it will still take him 6-8 games to adjust, get up speed etc, by which time, given our fixtures could well end up leaving us in the bottom 3. We desperately need Bony and Huw is sleeping at the wheel.
Llorente has one of the best touches I have seen on a big guy, but he will be lucky to score 6-8 goals this year, he just isn't a finisher, I am hoping his other play will bring us goals from else where, because he wont score many. To be fair he has 1 assist already, but a goal scorer he ain't. If we are chasing a goal I would bring Mcburnie on before him despite his lack of experience.
I would be interested to know who is an experienced, ready to go CB who can cut it in this league. As far as I'm concerned any CB within our budget from abroad is a gamble as has been shown at other clubs and I don't know of any one in the UK who fits the bill.
