That sums me up then. In my high school days in Hull the day out at Wembley for the final was Match, Ice Hockey,(usually Wembley Lions v Brighton Tigers) Late train to Hull. The school played football.
Stop being so defensive. Yes, most of FC's crowds are the same ones. There aren't that many walk ups in comparison to their season ticket holders. The same applies to most clubs, football as well except for the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal which have a fair amount of "tourists" stveavh game.
I have 5 mates coming round tomorrow morning to watch the Hull FC game and City's game. They support both teams. The fifth is from Dunfermline . He's a plastic.
They have around 8,000 pass holders so the crowd is usually 20-30% walk-ups about the same as City. It's not defensive it's just true, say there's 25k there tomorrow, more than half will have regularly gone to games this season, therefore your assertion that the majority will be glory hunters is wrong, fact. Yes there will still be plenty of glory hunters, but like you say, it's the same for every club bar the massive football clubs.
'All that matters that those that have supported the club through thick and thin, and can afford to go, get to enjoy their day in the sun.' I think you are spot in, but just a tweak which I think is easily ignored.
You don't actually know how many of the month season ticket holders go to how many games or how many are the numerous tree tickets FC give away, especially to school kids ( a good idea,in my opinion, to build the fan base, but try telling the Aplams that), so you can't state fact. Fact.
I'm hoping for a perfect Saturday. A win for FC at Wembley and a win for City at the KC later in the day. Good luck and bring it home.
Will the MANCHESTER UNITED HULL FC Banner be on display at the kcom today as is usual when we play man u ? Hope Hull FC get stuffed.
Should this be the case then the stewards should do as they are supposed to and remove the offending and inflammatory item. We all know that they won't though...........the spineless tossers.
When I was at school I was literally one of a handful of kids amongst over a thousand who supported City. Whenever we lost - which was a lot - ****ing Hull FC ****s would laugh in my face and take great delight in mocking "****ty City". This continued into the work environment, when under Hateley they used to cheer and laugh raucously when I walked in on a Monday morning after witnessing another defeat. Ive never forgotten and I really hope they get ****ing embarrassed.
