There's actually no way of knowing, the club will only know how many tickets they've sold, tickets are available from other retailers all year round and they don't ask who you support when you buy them.
Agreed, pretty pointless really, it's pretty irrelevant too. I didn't care when we were outnumbered by Sheff Wednesday in May and I don't care that we'll out number Warrington tomorrow.
Bloody that brought back memories, 1973 Widnes v Warrington. Endike school, odd thing is i'm fairly sure we were playing rugby union so why did we go to the rugby league final? Tommy Steel was at the Palladium, remember walking down Carnaby Street.
Always reminded me of those Stanley Holloway films where naive , innocent northerners went on their annual charabanc trip to the Big Smoke, where they had all sorts of experiences at the hands of wily Cockneys before returning home to reminisce about their adventures until the next year.
I was gutted when we were outnumbered in May. I don't buy this 'Thousands boycotting it' crap. Some were, many more too lazy and not committed enough. Bit like SUFC in 2014, with 'They're all saving themselves for the Final'. It was only our second ever game at Wembley and second ever FACSF in 110 years.
It doesn't bother me in the slightest how many part-time or glory hunting fans turn up for the big day. All that matters that those that have supported the club through thick and thin get to enjoy their day in the sun.
I thought they were glory supporting scum that didn't even attend games? If that's the case the can watch Hull FC and still extend their usual level of support to Man United.
Given what progress our club has made since 2002, I would have hoped we would have grown our fanbase in the last 14 years to be far bigger than at present.
Agreed I wish our fan base was bigger too, but the people that turn up for Wembley games and no others aren't really fans.
I don't hate Hull FC. Used to go to FC games years ago. I detest the FC fans who are happy when City lose and those who say how are proud to support their local team FC but latch on to a more successful football club from elsewhere. As I have said before, I have never gone across a City fan who supports Wigan, Leeds, St Helens because the local rugby teams were underachieving for years.
Given that FC have averaged less than 11,000 this season then if 22-25,000 FC "fans" are going then it could well be the majority will be.
