Me to, we are in deep **** if it is. As everyone knows we needed and experienced leader who can guide our rudderless back 4, not a player whose best part of his fledgling career is 5 games in the championship and 40 odd in league1 and 2. So I hope he isn't the direct replacement.
I think he's just seen the headline of this report and haven't taken the time to read the article properly. Time to sell Stephen Kingsley? http://www.blog.fanfeud.co.uk/time-to-sell-swanseas-stephen-kingsley/
Best thing we can do is employ a really good Head of recruitment as we are all over the place in getting players. We have sold players without first securing their replacements and when we do find players they are not wanted by anyone else and now Jenkins is thinking about selling Kingsley probably to pacify Taylor. We have had another shocking transfer window under Jenkins again and we look weaker with no leadership and its about time someone with experience came in and take charge of buying and selling and loan out and loan in players and work closely with the Americans on all aspects to do with the playing side......Jenkins is not the right person by far....
Mawson:- Pros, young, ambitious, scores goals, highly thought of apparently, English so good for squad, not silly money which some advocate. Cons no PL league experience the only one I can think of. Some moan we don't delve in to the championship for players others moan when we do. I note Liverpool are not paying silly money for some of their players so why should we. We won't be in the championship next season
But he isn't Championship, he has played 4 games there, he is a L1 player, who got promoted, all his football so far has been L1 and L2 marking strikers from Crewe, Colchester and the like, that is a massive step up. I actually believe this may out to be a great signing, if it is for the future then I get it, not as a replacement for ash.
The thing is we know that Taylor is the preferred choice with Jenkins and as he is the real influence in picking the players and Guildo a yes man then Kingsley will be a bit part player once Taylor is fit and i feel that imo Kingsley is the better player and should be the No1 choice but we all know Jenkins wont accept that as Taylor is Jenkins golden welsh international player and must play....
Dai you do realise that Kingsley has just signed a new contract? http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36767030
Ash's replacement has to be someone with premiership or foreign top flight experienced player.....lower league players will put us in a risky situation....
I believe we would sell Taylor before Kinsley, if our link to the LB from WBA is true then I can see Taylor moving. I wouldn't be disappointed.
So did Ash and that never stopped him going and if we dont treat Kingsley properly then he will want to go...
