Ok turns out that because my work (well me using my work account <whistle>) have signed up to Amazon Prime on orders, I get Amazon Prime now at home for nowt <laugh>

Trouble is the rest of you tossers have got Netflix. So going to ask anyway... any series worth watching??? I've seen 2 episodes of Preacher and it's pretty good. It's based on a comic which is why I chose it, hoping it will emulate TWD. I'd recommend so far based on two episodes. See how it goes on... Any others???

I know i asked because i've got it on the PC.

I heard they play quite differently, for instance my cousin was telling me the PS4 version the sniper girl can 1 shot kill whereas in the PC version its only 1 shot kill on a headshot.

You seen my top 5 films? I'm not sure the films i recommend will be anyones favourites XD.

    Hidden Gem... Primal Fear?

    Vikings
The Man in the High Castle
    Outlander
    American Gothic
    Mozart in the Jungle

Thing with Amazon is..it's not as good for tv shows...there's a lot of older stuff you'll see seen on sky channels. They are better with movies.

Nothing comes to mind that is fantastic that I think nobody else has seen. Some forgotten films maybe.

    Midnight Run
    Night Hawks

A film that I don't think many would like but for some reason I really like?

    A Good Year.

Yeh I think you're right. The films are decent. American Gothic I've seen before, but I'll check out the others <ok>

Is that the one with Russell Crowe. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a great film. But not sure it's to everyone's liking.

Similar to the new Tarzan but not quite as good, plus they ruined all the songs with "modernisation"

@DirtyFrank I think A Good Year is a top shout for a hidden gem. Cracking film that most would avoid.

As for Prime I think it's poor, Man in the High Castle was ****, Mr Robot was OK but that's about it. Films it's OK for but not as good as Netflix by a distance.

Not that I was asked <whistle>

...but here's some lesser known films I'd recommend highly...

Untouchables (no not the Kevin Costner one <doh>) but a more recent French film. Just watch it!

Spirited Away (brilliant but may not be to everyone's liking)

Life is Beautiful (if you're not blown away by the ridulousness of this film you're a ****)

Kung Fu Hustle ( <laugh> that is all)

Crash (not the Cronenberg ****e, but the other one with Matt Dillon) it's a very good.

A Prophet (another French film) just get it ****ing seen! <ok>

    Gattica

Children of Heaven (Iranian film but quality. Not to everyone's liking but a simple story really well told. End won't be what you expect)

Incendies (ok another French film, but it is quality. Just read the reviews)

To be honest I use amazon as my rental of new movies I couldn't get to the cinema for and buying bargains and newer films I know I'll watch a few times.

I used to buy "big" films on bluray but I've actually done an experiment buying a movie I already had on bluray to compare: the up scaling from 1080 to just under 4k works better on hd movies downloaded on amazon than bluray. Think it's something to do with the fact that the bluray player in the ps4 is unbelievably poorer than the bluray player that was in the ps3...better still Amazon seems to get releases about two weeks before bluray release.

    Soz @Treble

From that list Is say a few are well known Spirited Away is a classic.

Life is Beautiful though great shout as is Children of Heaven.

Crash though is a pile of crap ripped off from Amores Perros that I turned off at about the half way point, the acting is Also terrible I believe it has George of the Jungle in it Ffs.

I did not know that. Will check it out.

I wasn't sure many would have heard of the foreign ones tbh. But I agree a few may be known.

It's one shot kill only to the head on Xbox - saying that it all depends which hero you use, it wouldn't kill Road Hog with one shot to the head!!

I'm liking the Soldier 76 at the moment. One thing that I find annoying is Bastain with the turret guns <grr>
