Also what stops the prison or from just saying nothing... Or claiming they were away from not606 during those hours so wasn't able to reply etc?
Maybe they don't get released therefore aren't allowed to vote until they answer at least 3 questions or something?
1. no they won't. it has a special system in the online games to prevent it but i need to figure out how to do it. so thanks for the question prompting me. I might use a Qt board asking the jailor to sign in as a a new proifle name and make a new Qt each night. 2. yes he can be bitten, yes he can turn mafia. he will be the highest priority to get obviously so he can be killed and also recruited. 3. first time i've added it. how peopel play the jailer or how they react to being interrogated will be interesting. I acknowledge not all can be on form 9pm to 9am, but the jailer has a call to make and if he gets a guy and gets a bad feeling... well he can pop you. as above yes, i will figure that. probably as you say.
Sorry MITO, more questions 1) Will we be informed who has been imprisoned? 2) Will the jailer be able to imprison himself, to protect himself? If so can this happen only once? Thanks
Would that be necessary? Can the jailer not just threaten them that silence will be assumed to be an admission of guilt? Then it's up to the jailer to decide whether they are guilty or just not online all day.
the whole point is this jaile ris not like the old cop role who just locks up. he's got the ability to question his prisoner at night and beat a confession out of them. if the prisoner simply doesn't reply then he clearly can get killed. The whole point is a) if you lock up a high suspect and they are not forthcoming then you say hmmmmmm..... you are dead b) if you lock up a town and that town then doesn't spill and become a known innocent to the jailer... well..... c) if the jailer gets converted oh boy. anyone can lie to the jailer and say sorry i'm vanilla town etc. theres enough in there to do that. d) I have to let them out so the next prisoner comes in. I have no guarantee at this point that the jailer will ask any questions either. I am going to have to pay it by ear regarding when they are still questioned... it could be I just say ok 9am to 12 noon ... I dunno .. people can offer an opinion. The jailer will have to so he doesn't reveal his time of play and therefroe who he is. e) also the JAILER has to be careful he doesn't reveal himself through his phrasing of questions. I want this to be a simple enough game. the vamps and mafia are simple enough right now. maybe even over complicating it as i have 2 new players this time. the jailer could simply be called a cop and delete the whole interrogation. I just wanted to give the town 2 kills without adding another town role given the numbers.

No. the jailer will know who got locked up. nobody else. 2 .no he cannot further the jailer can tell anoyne he locks up anything.... he could say i locked up x and y previously but all this can be taken with a pinch of salt in case of recruit and also.... the jailer might be giving good info to bad guys. it just spices it up... nobody has asked baout the vamps being listened in on during night yet...this is the same.... vamps can confuse the hunter with false info and hunter can figure them out of they are careless. In other words... this needs some thought and skill from both parties.
I like the interrogation idea think it's good. Just wondered if we're putting in anything to force answers to be made like can't vote or something in next night etc. I guess if you're innocent then no reason not to talk but the timing might be the only thing. Some people won't be around from 9pm to 9am, for example if t was RHC wouldn't get any response during those hours etc. Maybe be its whole of next day questions can be asked / answered. Also so if you do it via QT board make sure you create a new one eah time 2nd person doesn't see last persons reponses etc.
yes this is a legitimate tactic. they could tell me.. unelss he answers i am choosing execute. now talk or you die. I'll tell you not to execute only when i feel he's given me the info. now SQUEAL!
Yeah I am wondering about the timing big time. I think i'll extend to 9pm to 12 noon. the only proviso is that the jailer cannot tell someone who to vote for or threaten that they do things in the public game. I will deffo make a new one each day.
this is a third investigator in the game. a i can kill, i can lock up, i can beat an answer out of you role. theres a detective and theres a vamp hunter too. The mafia need a chance.. they do have a fair change with a kill per night and a recruit after all. So the only people dying should be from mafia kills or from jailer if he gets a sniff. rememebr if you get locked up you could see these other investigators saying hey x is mafia... etc etc... you see vamps getting locked up too. they have ideal cover... later in game this will get harder and harder to hide.
