You've answered your own question by showing the long term trend for the pound on the world stage.
The point being ignored is the predictions were already for a downward correction of the pound even without the referendum. Yes the banking crisis gave us 12-18 months of low GBP Euro exchange rates but the position now is the referendum accelerated the correction and there is little to no evidence to suggest a strengthening British economy will reverse the losses

Not agreeing or disagreeing, but the point is no one really knows at this point.
If we somehow manage to broker trade deals and have an exit strategy, which investors buy into, the pound could actually outstrip even the best growth forecasts.

The pound will raise when interest rates rise, when ever that will be, Im poor guess it will hover around £1.35-£1.45, the Euro is anyones guess, it will fail soon enough.

All of your responses are littered with insults. Just because your language may be toned down, compared to others, they are still insults.

Which is the worst of both worlds as it means inflation has taken hold and the BOE has to take measures that stifle growth. Likelihood is rate rises will be held off as long as possible, especially while the economy shows weakness.

Mate, I used to work in the City as a trader. O.k. Of bonds, not currencies. Truth is, contrary to what much of the public seems to think, nobody knows what the markets will do, not even City traders. If they did, they'd all be sat at home in front of their PC's making a fortune.

My best guess is that Sterling will drift around these levels probably between €1.12-1.20, somewhere around there - just reacting to the various economic data that feeds through.

No major move is likely to occur until the exact terms of Britain's exit from the EU become clearer.

Well it certainly won't be £1.35 to the dollar, more like £0.75 unless things change dramatically.

Perhaps you meant $1.35 to the pound?

An 'Opinium' poll shows that 4% of Remain voters regret their decision to vote remain.
