My culture does not preach to kill non believers, my culture does not condone the murder of apostates, my culture does not demand the maiming of those who speak ill of my God. My culture is far better than Islam.

Would you have said that in the 12th Century? Are you aware that in the middle ages the islamic world was more tolerant, more learned and more literate than christian Europe? That moslem arab scholars were far advanced in the study of mathematics and astronomy, for instance?

I'd be more inclined to accept your opinion as being just that - an opinion, to be argued or refuted - if you gave the impression you had any real knowledge of the history of Islam, Christianity or Judaism. Trouble is, in several of your posts you give the impression of being plain ignorant. It is plain ignorant, for example, to just dismiss an entire religeon, history and culture out of hand.

 

I'm quite prepared to debate with anybody who disagrees, but does it with a reasoned argument and accepts that others may not share their point of view. I've had several,differences of opinion with both Pieguts and Smirnoff Priest. They're both intelligent guys who respect that others may disagree with them. If we don't agree, we don't agree, move on.
