This campaign suggests to me that the fans have suddenly gained some b'lox. Long may this continue, but I suspect it will not get legs till we get some awaydays under our belts. Most of the 'new' home fans are still dressed as Targers and dreaming of a Premier League experience that reality suggests can never be!
I love the sentiment BUT I think the following is wrong: Ultras - To get your voice across this is not a good name, inevitably associated with violence and racism (especially in Italy where the name derives from). The Tiger - Jeez, if Graham Norton was a Tiger this is what he'd look like! Other than that good stuff - maybe scrub out the Tiger though for the Ipswich game and replace him with a better image of a Tiger.
'..mongs...'????? Do you ever go away from home? The Goole lads are an example to us all. As I have suggested in another place (CI), and also on this thread before OLM unceremoniously removed my words - HUH!! - it would not surprise me if this initiative had not originated from Goole
I think there's generally a bit of appetite for this kind of thing, look how the media have w@nked themselves silly over Man City's Poznan rip-off like it's the best thing ever. Proper visual and vocal support is the complete norm on the continent, it's just not done here for a number of reasons (primarily over policing and the type of fan attending top flight football) but I think the majority would like to see this change.
"...inevitably associated with violence and racism ...." They are a nasty bunch in Accrington as well.....yeah right!
" They are a nasty bunch in Accrington as well.....yeah right!" What are you talking about Accrington? By the way the Goole let are not an example, the guy called 'Ged' openly had a piss up the back of another City fan when we beat West Brom 3-1 in Feb 2008. I'll always remember that because I was going to leather him but the clown didn't even know where he was!
The media does buzz about that man city thing and always say its the "lech pozan celebration" when in fact i've seen many teams do it elsewhere. Its not even impressive they just bounce up and down without singing anything.
Accrington Ultra's.....
Some good debate on twitter about it. Lot of people see the obvious flaw in it. A name like 'Ulltras and the scarfed face logo will attract the dickhead element.
Be scared. Be very scared. Yawn......... "..the guy called 'Ged' openly had a piss up the back of another City fan when we beat West Brom 3-1 in Feb 2008...." as I say a shining example!! ManchesterTiger - dont forget your face paint and your large pointee finger tomorrow?
Well to be pedantic Accrington is not a nice place and it certainly has it's fair share of violence and racism, however as you guys well know I was referring more to the Italian Ultras.
Mussie you are clearly one thick **** - do you want to be pissed on whilst your watching football by one of your own fans?
no i dont, but then it wasnt me that got pissed on. Did anyone laught when he did it? "..Mussie you are clearly one thick ****.." - I have a degree and post-grad qualification. However, I understand that the B A stands for Bugger All in your eyes
Been away plenty of times. Example? Were you at Bristol City last game of last season? Starting that awful American "We love it" song. Then the Man City backs to the pitch Polish thing (which i do like) but don't bloody steal it. All pissed up, being gobshites. Exactly the same, where ever they go. They're an embarrassment to Hull City. In my opinion of course.
There already is a singing section at the KC - it's called E2. I like the standing bit though, it would be too expensive to convert seats into terracing since the concrete won't be wide enough. And Ultras is a **** name too.
That is truly fukin shocking. Please dont do it. And sack that fat cnut who does good afternoon east stand while you are at it.
