Who will be our 1st choice keeper now that Mildenhall has competition in new loan signing Kelle Roos from Derby? I think Puddys needs to go out on loan somewhere as I cant see him getting ahead of Mildy or Roos.
Personally, I would stick with Mildenhall for the Swindon game and play Roos for the Reading game. Bit of a baptism of fire chucking him in for a derby game away at Swindon for his club debut. Thats why I think we will stick with Mildenhall. Lets see what Roos can do vs Reading on home soil with a reduced crowd and less pressure on him. What do you all think?
You never with DC he could put Puddy in goal and put Roos on the bench but yeah I would stick with Mildy for the tome being.
I agree with CJS re the above post I can't see Puddy going on loan because that would only leave us with 2 keepers and if 1 gets injured that would leave us short of cover. When players went out on loan there was usually a recall clause but I'm guessing that cannot apply as there is no emergency loans now
We can still have a recall clause. If Mildy or Roos gets injured, we would be able to get Puddy back. We would just end his loan. Nothing to do with emergency loan window stopping. Apart from not being able to loan Puddy back out again though
Actually. I think the emergency loan window remains open for keepers..... I THINK. I swear I read that somewhere.
I would stick with Mildenhall. He's having a really good spell. But then he may get injured, so it's good to have some decent cover.
Feel sorry for Mildy. I think after the Chelsea game, he deserves another chance. I agree with DC that Roos got 10 more yards in him over Mildy and that could make a difference and younger etc. I think Roos should be number 1 as Mildenhall have made a few mistakes already. But Roos only just arrived and a keeper in my eyes need some time with the defenders to be able to settle in. Roos should have started this midweek vs Reading in the JPT. Settle him in 1st and not just chuck him in like DC did yesterday. Roos sounded a bit shaky yesterday.
Listening to his interview Roos appears to be at least 3rd choice keeper at Derby, so i'm wondering if there is case of looking at him for the long term. Didn't hear any commentary on yesterday's match but I would have thought a clean sheet in those condition's was a good sign. Tuesday week the central league fixtures start so it will be interesting to see who plays in goal for that match against Exeter
