Pritchard has trod the path many academy players have and are expected to,
with no reported antics over it. Sad he never got to the end of the road at Spurs
nor has signed for a current decent PL side, but fully understand and respect
    his decision.

Napoli have no chance of signing Kane. Serie A probably isn't appealing to him and with all respect, I think if Kane does leave us, it'll be to one of the world's best, I wouldn't say Napoli are much better than us, if at all.

As for Nabs, really hope his loan goes well. If there's a purchase option at the supposed £17m fee then it's very decent for a guy we picked up for nothing, having been released by about 4 clubs prior, though if there isn't a purchase option then that's also great as he'll come back a better player (hopefully). I think we're in a decent position - £17m for a back up midfielder we signed for nothing or a young midfielder returns having had good experience in Germany at a top side.

Can be dangerous, just not on the left where he cut-in all the time and continually got Toby'd

Thought Zaha was a petulant prick against us on Saturday...thought he played poorly too.

I was only thinking to myself this morning that I don't see us signing anyone else, (other than the legacy that is GKN, and maybe the goalkeeper)- as normally by now we've got an idea of who we're signing or there's been at least some concrete rumours.

And now Zaha. - completely out of left field, and so late in the window?
I'm of the opinion that we've potentially given up on other targets, and this is plan D. He's just a quick switch across London, easy to do business in a bit of a rush etc etc

I hope this is just a smokescreen for someone else that levy is trying to get a bit cheaper, but sadly I don't think this is the case.

We were very keen on having him when Fergie bought him. I've seen a fair bit of him and am not wildly impressed but someone at the club must rate him. Pleat or Levy I should think?

Huge potential which is why SAF bought him at the time but hasn't fulfilled it.I thought we had enough of that sort of player.

It seems we are just moving pieces around- selling one and buying the same one back in a slightly different guise.

    The most important question is:

Is Zaha a step up from what we already have?

I'd say he is marginally better than Chadli due to his pace and ability to press. He hasn't got the best scoring record but that could largely be down to playing next to the collosal bellend with the turning circle of a combine harvester that is Connor Wickham.
But would I want Onomah to fall further down the pecking order due to him? I'm not so sure...

This is what I wanna know the answer to. The poch brigade on social media are saying how poch should have who he wants and criticising anyone who questions this. However, my first question was whether it was even a player he wants. I just can't imagine poch saying he wants Zaha as someone who can help us tackle a CL campaign.
It's come out of nowhere late in the window and comes across as a little bit desperate. Hmm..

He obviously feels you lack pace.

Zaha is quick, but so is a headless chicken. He only really performed in the Championship (over 3 years ago). He will, however, benefit from better service given the extra quality you have in midfield.

And Utd will receive part of the fee if he's sold - and that's needed badly after an expensive summer to buy Fonte.

I'm sure Zlatan has a quote somewhere saying how he could sell his old hair bands on EBay to finance the Fonte deal.

I'd only want Zaha if Chadli, Son and N'jie go.

That way, presuming Nkoudou joins, Onomah's progress won't be affected as he'd have an equal or perhaps better chance of game time with three out and two in. For me, Onomah's potential is huge and can outgrow any of the players mentioned above so I want the club to really look after and develop him as quickly as they can.

While I'd say Zaha isn't a step up on Townsend and so it's somewhat of a weird transfer for us to be interested in, Fergie did see something in him back in the day and it was very rare for Fergie to be wrong on a player's potential. Like Townsend, Zaha has shown glimpses of his ability, if he can find consistency and improve his footballing brain, he can be a deadly player, I don't think there's any doubting that.

Can't believe the negativity on here. He's a massive step up from chadli or townsend. We haven't got anybody like him. He can change a game from the bench which we haven't got. Onomah is miles away from being ready he just gets slack because he's young.

So you ditch Townsend, Spurs to the bone, over one of "disciplinary" issues or doesn't
fit your "philosophy" , and now somebody at the club wants to buy a similar player to Townsend
from the club that Townsend has ended up at.

I can only assume Mr Mitchell is engaging in final week in the job merry japes.

Largely agree with this apart from the description of Fergie.

The man struck gold with the 'class of 92' and essentially lived off that reputation for the rest of his career. The remainder of his successes in the transfer market were due to United's financial clout, not his ability to spot talent. He signed his fair share of duds over the years, especially towards the end of his tenure.

His record as a motivator and tactician was flawless. His record as a 'shrewd' judge of the market was as hit and miss as the next bloke.
