Was in 1955. She had 7 top ten hits and spent more weeks in total in the charts, 85, then any other artist that year. The hits were the following of which 5 were in the charts at same time, though I don't know which the 5 were. "Softly, Softly" (1955) — UK number 1 "Happy Days and Lonely Nights" (1955) — UK number 6 "Let Me Go Lover" (1955) — UK number 5 "If Anyone Finds This, I Love You" (1955) — UK number 4 "Evermore" (1955) — UK number 3 "I'll Come When You Call" (1955) — UK number 6 "The Very First Christmas Of All (1955) — UK number 9

Bay City Bawlers had 5 smash hits in 1 day. My sister was not pleased with me re-arranging her record collection
I was just quoting the hits from 1955 as they 5 must have been in those 7 but I didn't know thev5. I remember my dad always liked Pianissimo which was in the early 1960s and which I can remember as I was about 11. Not my cup of tea as around that time I heard Runaway by Del Shannon which got me really interested in pop music along with Handy Man by Jimmy Jones. Still sounds good all these years on, one of the all time classic pop records.
Looking like there will be nobody in for the weekend and the official take over looks like it won't be confirmed until next month. Just hope we can hold onto Abel, not lose any players to injuries and sign at least a couple before next Wednesday!
I'm not sure what the next 7 days hold for us, however this song is appropriate for the time zone I'm in
I bought Handyman. The information label was yellow as I recall. Made a change from Lita Rosa, Dennis Lotis,,Joan Reagan,Marion Ryan, Dickie Valentine and Ronnie Hilton. etc.
