I did a stag do at a Polish Restaurant once. Not keen on beeswax at the best of times but the shoe polish was excellent.

SH, this is the third post you have made since you returned from your short break. In all three posts you are baiting and criticising a senior and well respected member of our Watford board. As i have told you privately on more than one occasion, this isn't acceptable. I'm putting this out here now because you haven't responded in any way to my messages, not in the form of response, or by stopping your public bashing of a fellow member. If you have a problem with Leo then send him a PM and sort it out between you, you are both adults. If you make another post criticising or cajoling any fellow member then I shall have no choice but to ask for you to be banned. This is your yellow card, I don't want to have to use a red one.

    Thank you for your cooperation,

Morning all. Today is going to be the same as yesterday, very hot. My car was parked in the shade yesterday and showed an outside temperature of 38°C. When we have had such long hot spells in the past there have been reports of the elderly suffering as they could not keep cool enough. This time thankfully there have been no reports of deaths, which leads me to believe that the message has really got through to people that it takes little effort to keep a watch on their aged neighbours.

This is a clear case of double standards in which you have unfortunately shown incompetence in your duties, you should be preventing posters like Leo from using foul and abusive language on this forum.

Your position as a mod may be Micky Mouse but you should act fairly across the board.

    Bye.

Bovril is ok as a Winter drink but a cheese sandwich with inch thick Marmite is glorious! Yum

In Oz you can buy Vegemite flavoured cheese/cheese slices/cheese spread - delicious.

Toast and Marmite with beef dripping is the best. We always had a stone jar that the dripping was kept in. No doubt someone would say it was unhealthy, but goose fat is used in this way in the south west of France, and they live longer than any other part of the country. Maybe the fact that they also drink more red wine than elsewhere helps.

Probably to wash the taste of the goose fat away...

None - the sensible athletes stayed home to enjoy the Vegemite cheese sandwiches...

Umami. To my palate, it's similar to, but much stronger and saltier than, Marmite. All my kids were 'little Vegemites' - on toast, it was their staple breakfast food and after-schoool snack.

'boarf'? 'IF'? - techy advice, read your post or slow down the typing.

If your only contributions on here are in the form of either insults, or trying to bring other people down in some way then I would suggest that you either refine this in some way or rid us of your presence on here - and I think I speak for most of us on here (whatever their political opinions) when I say that. That appears to be the message coming over here - I do not like banning, but if that is the only way that the board can protect itself as a 'pleasant' place to be then I am all for it.
