He seemed open at the start of the summer but changed his mind. Think he realised there was more money to make before moving on.
Slade says that THD "looked me in the eye and said gaffer, I want to leave" Slade then goes on to say that he didn't know if the reason was financial or football, which is strange as you would have thought he would have asked him ?
Nothing like your former Manager stabbing you in the back as you leave, I hope THD responds on the Udders website .... losing his fight against Fox, yes and who picks the team then Fester?... you can't force your way into the team if your Manager refuses to pick you! Look at Francis and Solly... as soon as Francis left Solly became automatic first choice under Sir Chris.
Fox seemed undroppable last season which sent the wrong message as he was poor for large parts of it. Very poor. Seems to have started this season well to be fair, but it wasn't fair competition.
http://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/4...ield-move-losing-first-team-fight-morgan-fox/ Slade said: “You want players who have an attitude to get better, to learn – to be the best he possibly can be every single day. Morgan has got that.” suggesting that Tareiq hasn't ... I guess we will see at Udders
The thing that most impressed me about THD when I first saw him was his commitment and appetite for the game. True about Fox, but wrong to imply that THD is lacking somehow.
I would understand if Duchatelet was just a moneygrabbing bastard but he doesn't even get good fees for the players, it makes no sense. Cousins for £1.25m and now Holmes-Dennis for £400k is appalling. Roofe joined Leeds for £3mil and hadn't even played in League One! Che Adams joined Brum from Sheff Utd for £2mil! Even if the pair of them wanted out surely we should be in the strong position, Cousins had three years left and Holmes-Dennis had two.
I think/hope it's quick fire sales because he's eyeing a sale. Low fees are off settled by the interest on his loans.
Shows that Slade is a L1 manager, happier with journeymen than the more talented players. Suits the Belgians.
