We have them in the league that weekend! I'd take the 3 points if a choice had to be made but hey lets be greedy!
I remember cup and league games where we played the same team I think 3 times in 10 days or so, might have been wolves
I remember years ago beating Rotherham 5-0 on Boxing Day I think, then drawing 0-0 with them in the FA cup a week later, then losing something like 4-0 in the replay. Thanks there was another similar to that in the past 10 years or so, definitely when in the liberty. Think it was we played them in the league at home on a Saturday, then played them in the cup on a Tuesday at home, and a week or so later we played them again but away. Think we drew in the cup but won the league game.
I would like to see Ollie McBurnie getting a game against Man City in the cup to see how he gets on with premier league opposition, I realise they won't send out their full first team against us, but the players will be a few levels above what he's faced so far.
I just hope that we go for it. No shame losing to City whatever team they put out, but a weak, tepid performance and we could get a thumping that will completely destroy morale and that can't be good.
