Really low of di Montezemolo to make a comment like that, he hasn't said anything at all, just a cryptic "I know something you don't know" comment which was obviously going to make headlines and cause hassle for the family. They allowed him into their home in trust and confidence and he betrayed that. Total piece of ****.
part of me agrees with that and part of me doesn't, the family are quite happy to live on the earnings his fans helped generate, and there are probably fans out there just as upset about what has happened as the family, desperate for some news, but the family hasn't said a word, "thanks for the money and the good wishes, now **** off" I can understand that they want to be left alone, but it wouldn't hurt to make a statement once in 18months. Personally I think the only statement we'll hear from them is when he dies.
I do tend to agree with you. As traumatic as it is for the family, he does have millions of fans worldwide who would want to know the welfare of their star. Not giving anything away almost gives them false hope that one day he will walk out of his home and say hello to everyone again. Until such time that they do so, any update on his condition, no matter who cryptic or small, will generate unwanted headlines. An official family statement to update on his condition and that they then want to be left alone to work with him on rehabilitation would surely be better? Whilst there is still the uncertainty the media will scrounge around for whatever titbits they can find that will sell papers (or generate clicks through their website as it's now 2016).
You'd think they'd make the occasional statement if not only to prevent speculation. Life's odd. Years driving potential death traps and it's a sking fall that all but kills him. Bloody tragic really.
Kehm announced that Michael just planned to disappear. I can half understand but then again it was a pretty extreme idea. I'd have thought he would join another series, not stay an F1 man for life.
That would be almost impossible these days, it could be some mad conspricay and he's faked it all and is having 2 years plastic surgery, but we're into the realms of Hollywood and David Icke then.
If you were going to do that you'd fake your own death. If anything this has just drawn more attention to him.
This is what happens when the world is allowed to use it's imagination because proper facts are not disclosed As often said, the family is of course allowed it's privacy, however when you have previously been a worldwide mega star with millions of concerned followers, it wouldn't do any harm to release an official statement so everyone knows the score and the ridiculous speculation can stop. Until then, theories will only get more and more inventive and surely the scrutiny on the family will increase. How long before some dickhead of a journalist sticks a mic under Mick jn'r nose and asks him what his happening with his father?
Only if you wanted to get completely away from your family. This is the perfect scenario for a conspiracy, accident on film, recuperate out of sight whilst getting reconstructive surgery, get job as live in gardener and have an animatronic 'Schumacher' for people to see. job done. I'm calling David Icke, I'm sure he'll be interested.
25 years today since this fella put his Jordan in 7th spot in his debut qualifying performance at Spa. Impressive stuff and an indication of how good he was going to be. please log in to view this image
Three years on and we still don't know much more about his condition than we did back then. I hope there's at least some improvement in his situation.
I would hazard a guess it ain't great given the recent leaked photos and their (rightful) suppression
Oh... I'd forgot about that particular event with the craziness of Christmas and all that. What happened there? Did they stop them getting out?
