Custard. Do you really believe that the UK forces have not killed any civilians and have not destroyed many homes If you do you are very stupid or vey naive. Successive governments have interfered in countries in the Middle East and have continued to supply arms to other countries which have been proved to have been used to suppress their own citizens and those of others. Saudi Arabia and Yemen immediately spring to mind. If we stop the bombing and stop the supply of arms we will probably see a reduction in the number of refugees.

 

There is nothing inherently wrong with Islam. All religions have their radicalised element. The Jews and Christians have and are capable of just as many atrocities throughout history.

 

Not just history, even now mate.

And ofcourse there's far more atheists who have committed attrocities than any faith.

This will never happen.
We are at a tipping point where parts of the middle east are already recording 50C and at those temperatures most life cannot survive. This is predicted to gradually spread to a larger and larger area that will force more people to move, water shortages in northern India and Pakistan are already causing crops to fail and suicide rates to rocket as people can see no way out. Rising sea level, coral bleaching and loss of krill from warming and acidification of the sea is putting strain on poor coastal communities all across the world. The loss of artic ice has changed the albedo of the northern hemisphere and is releasing the methane trapped in permafrost and further accelerating the warming cycle that is currently outpacing all the models.

In the very near future the numbers displaced by these problems will be to many to control in any meaningful way.

Sorry I have digressed to the bigger issue that James Lovelock says is too late to solve because most of the warming from the CO2 already in the atmosphere hasn't yet played out.!
